Owner description: Wollaton Hall is one of the country's finest Grade One listed Elizabethan mansions, set within 500 acres of beautiful parkland. Experience stunning architecture, exhibitions, a packed events program and an array of wildlife. Go behind the scenes on a variety of guided tours available throughout the year and on demand for groups. Other special events include costumed tours, puppet shows, craft fairs, Segway tours and our popular spooky Ghost Nights (not for the faint hearted!). Visit the Cafe in the Courtyard for light refreshments including freshly ground coffee, specialty teas and home made cakes.

Good choice for a day out with children if the weather is fine. There is a grand lake to walk around with lots of wildlife to see including the herds of deer which roam the park.
A restaurant is available but in my opinion a little expensive for groups with children, Far better to bring packed lunch's and picnic if fine.
well laid out gardens around the hall and many bench's to sit and relax.
Usual ice cream man around, one thought make sure you have plenty of drinks for your children as it is a good walk around the lake and grounds.
The hall it'self is worth a walk around more of a natural museum and many thing's to interest your children.
Regular bus's pass direct from Nottingham town centre.

park had Wollahad the potential to bea lot more. It really is just a deer park with not a lot else to do. A new kids park is in the process of being built but its not going to be suitable for kids older than about 8 and you will also have to cross the busy through road to get to it. Also the facilities are a long walk from there. Also you have to pay at least £2 to park. Nottingham city council need to take note of Ruscliffe country park. That place is excellent.

This is a brilliant place to bring all family members young or old, for a great day out. The walks are lovely and the wildlife is excellent. The house itself is fantastic... Lots to see and do.

Only reason I have rated value poor is because the cafe is so expensive. I would recommend taking your own food.
Car park is a reasonable price and the grounds are beautiful.

Lovely place to walk, take the air, see herds of deer. You can also visit the Hall where the latest Batman film was staged.
