“Good value, friendly helpful staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2012

Stayed at this hotel for one night. We were checked in quickly by a very friendly receptionist. We were allocated room 63 on the 2nd floor at the back, as I had requested a quiet room - which it was, never heard a sound. The only quibble with the room was that it was rather hot (but it had been a very warm day), however 2 fans were provided. Breakfast was served in the adjacent pub - staff were very welcoming, a great selection of food, all well cooked and served promptly. Parking good and only a short drive to the Park & Ride which gives you access by tram to the city centre.
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor at the back of the hotel - very quiet

I have stayed in lots of hotels / motels over my years, some expensive and some not so, this is why I wanted to review the Daybrook Premier Inn, Nottingham.
My husband, 12 yr old son and my self were attending a friends wedding and had an overnight stay here end of Aug 2012.
The parking was good. The staff are friendly, professional and do their best to make your stay comfortable. When booking in I asked for extra pillows and a rear facing room, on arrival I asked if there were plenty of tea bags in the room, without hesitation the receptionist gave me a handful of extra tea, milk and sugar and advised me that the extra pillows were in the room, and our room was rear facing.
The room had a large double bed and a good size single bed (not a camp bed) , tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable, cosy, quiet and the beds were a good size and comfortable, the en suite bathroom was also good size.
We ate breakfast in the pub next door, the food was good quality, lots of choice, hot and plentiful, the staff very nice and the restaurant was clean.
We arrived in Nottingham at 1pm, the hotel check in time was 2pm, so we did not check in until 9pm. Other weddding guests told us they went to the hotel at 1pm and were allowed to book in early, so if early it's worth asking to check in early.

Room Tip: it's worth asking to check in early, if its not too early or busy.

We stayed here on the night before going to Wheelgate Park. The staff was very friendly and helped me with my luggage to the room. The room was nice and clean. The food was good. My husband arrived late from London (after 10pm) so the restaurant staff made up his dinner to take away. Great nights sleep :) Due to having such a good night's sleep, we arrived late for breakfast but they accommodated us which was brilliant!!

Stayed 2 nights at the Premier Inn Daybrook Nottingham as we were attending a wedding. Could not fault staff they were very friendly and helpful making sure other rooms would be ready on the Saturday for guests who were arriving before 2pm to attend the wedding. The hotel was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The food was good especially the breakfast. My husband would recommend the Old Speckled Hen beer in the pub next door. Would definitely recommend this Premier Inn!

Room Tip: Stayed in one of the rooms at the back.

Stayed in this hotel in April 2012 attending a wedding of friends who lived 2 miles away.
The hotel was just what I expected. The room was on the top floor which meant some sloping ceilings which made the room slightly claustrophobic. However, the room was clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable and you had all you needed including a good ensuite bathroom. The staff fell over themselves to be helpful, and although I'm sure it's drilled into them during training, they came accross as being very genuine. The breakfast in the adjacent pub/restaurant was good, except for the coffee (poor quality made worse by being served in a pump flask on the buffet table). Although it didn't bother me there were no hash browns for breakfast despite the hotel being plastered with posters advertising hash browns as the new edition to the menu. I saw the funny side of it and was disappointed to see several guests giving the waiter and waitress a really hard time when it was totally out of their control and they were behaving very politely to the customers. I sometime despair how rude and unreasonable people are - did they really chose the hotel because it had hash browns on the menu?

Of course, once inside the hotel you could have been in any Premier Inn, anywhere, but the excellent attitude of the staff more than made up for lack of architectural character Overall a very good experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the top floor.
