I would certainly stay at a Premier Inn again if there was one in the area. 30 mins free wifi :-) and a good nights sleep guaranteed. Helpful staff and efficient check in. A paperless transaction. Very good.

The hotel room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and modern.
The hotel entrance / lobby was very minimal but clean.
There was ample car parking. Reception staff on arrival and departure were pleasant and helpful.

We encountered 2 problems in our one night stay.
First of all the fire alarm was activated at around 8am when everyone was getting ready. There are signs in the bedroooms to keep the bathroom door closed when using the shower to prevent setting the sensitive smoke alarm off. This obviously wasn't noted by someone on this day. Hotel staff weren't sure what to do, there was no checking of customers while the alarm continued to sound. Secondly, by the time we were told we could return to our room and finish getting dressed we arrived for breakfast at 2 minutes to 9am only to be told breakfast finished at 9am and we were too late!!! There was no management capable of dealing with the matter, no customer service, no understanding of the situation and 'going the extra mile' to keep customers happy. Result - no cooked breakfast to set us on our way for the day.

Nothing wrong with the hotel at all, helpful reception, fast check in. I had a room at the back that just looks over undeveloped wasteland but was at least quiet. Restaurant is very much a big pub with tables. Happy staff and food was good but I must confess I am beginning to recall the good old days of Trust House Hotels that had character and menus that were different. I wonder what Travelodge and Days Inn are like - must try some and hope to bring some life back into travel

We stayed at this Hotel on 4 May 2013 to attend a wedding.

We booked 3 rooms to accommodate 3 adults and 8 children aged from 3 to 12 years old. The rooms were great - 2 rooms were connected and the 3rd was next door. The rooms were spotlessly clean and ideal for our party. The extra beds were fine for children but I ended up snuggling in the supersize bed with 2 3year olds and a 6 year old and we all slept like logs!

However, what really made our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I wish I knew their names but the receptionist who checked us in and the night porter who helped when we arrived back with a group of tired children were special. My thanks to them if they ever read this. Breakfast at the pub next door seemed expensive but when you factor in the free childrens' food it was in fact very reasonable. Well done Premier Inn

Room Tip: If a large family request interconnecting rooms - brilliant if you have more than 2 children

Have been staying in the inn for the last 3 nights (still have 2 left) as of now we have had a lovely time. The room is a nice size with a lovely comfortable bed. The bathroom facilities are adequate, the bath was exceptionally nice. For the price it is well worth it (did book a month in advance with the super save)

The staff are very friendly and they are happy to help, even calling taxis for us on occasions, and even sending takeaway delivery men up to the room

The only let down was the heat in the room, we opened the windows and had to have the fan on most of the time. Although the cleaners closed the windows while we were out so went back into a sauna again!

We did not have the breakfast as it is very expensive at £8.25pp. £16.50 for two adults to have breakfast seems a little overpriced, as well as being vegetarian i am unlikely to eat any of the more ''expensive'' breakfast items such as the sausages etc.

The pub next door is a Fayer & Square, reasonably priced for its main meals most being 2 for £10.

Just be aware that from this inn there is a travel either way to get into Nottingham (15 mins by car) or Sherwood forest area (30 mins by car) There is a Sainsbury's and a McDonalds close by if you get stuck in a 5 mins walking distance. Or the town of Arnold about 20 mins walk.

Comfortable and good value, with very friendly and helpful service.

That's all I wanted to say - this is padding to meet Trip Advisor's minimum length requirement. And still more and more padding.....
