“A great place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013 via mobile

We have stayed in this hotel about 6 times now and would always use this hotel when we come to Nottingham. We stay here when visiting my daughter at NTU. The hotel is far enough, but not too far away from the town centre and is a perfect base with the Tram line being just across the road. A fare of only £2 for a single will take you into town. We have always found the hotel a perfect place to stay and we always try to stay in the same room, the friendly staff always try and accommodate our request for this room. The rooms are always spotless and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I love the Premier Inn hotels as you are always guaranteed the same standard in every hotels, you know exactly what you are getting! great helpful staff, clean rooms, fantastic prices and guarantees they really do stick to if you should have any issues with your stay. Thank you again for a great stay and we will see you again soon.

My wife and I stayed here for just one night en route south and were very impressed by the high level of service. Premier Inns are known for comfort and good prices but being treated so warmly by all staff from reception to the restaurant and bar was refreshing. In my opinion you can't buy service like that and a lot of so called luxury establishments you learn from this fine example. Congratulations Premier Inn!

This was our first Premier Inn that we stayed at on our trip. It was very clean but extremely warm. We were unable to get our room cool even with all the windows open. The beds were comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was very easy to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had our dinner and breakfast at the Beefeater which was very satisfying. We would be pleased to stay here again. There is an outside playground for kids but the children need to be careful when playing on this as it is very easy to hurt yourself or fall off it.

I stayed here last Tuesday and it was a very pleasant stay. The reception staff were most helpful and polite and the room was very comfortable and warm. I am sure I will stay here again in the near future. The adjoining Beef Eater was very good and the decor was most pleasant.

Once again stayed here overnight for a business meeting the next day. Usual good night sleep and excellent breakfast the next morning. Unfortunately the bar closes sharp at 11.00 pm and there is nowhere to continue to have a chat after especially if one needs to discuss important business matters before meetings the next morning. I presume this is due to the Beefeater not being part of The Premier Inn. But surely they can provide a small lounge area open till midnight?? Anyways will always be back. Thanks

We stayed here for two nights while attending a conference in central Nottingham. On the positive side, the Tram line runs from across the road from the hotel and took us to right outside our venue. They run every ten minutes, less frequently on Sundays.

The hotel is good value, the room was quite big and clean. The storage for clothing is limited, but I suppose most people are only staying a day or so. Only one drawer and the open fronted wardrobe is not deep enough to take the length of a dress! The breakfast was served efficiently and the food was plentiful, if a little on the 'greasy spoon' side! We ordered a morning newspaper which never arrived, but maybe it was taken by someone else? I'm not sure whether we actually paid for it or not.

The bed was very hard and the duvet heavy.

We were somewhat surprised to find that we were only provided with two tea bags and two portions of coffee, but I suppose this also helps to keep the costs down. The liquid shampoo/body wash in the pump dispenser was poor quality.

The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.

All in all, we got what we paid for, a basic hotel for a couple of nights. It was our first experience of a Premier Inn. It was recommended by friends who were also attending the Conference.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are a bit of a hike from reception!

Conveniently located for the M1 and the Tram into the city centre. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Noise levels were low from the hotel but you could hear the motorway traffic in the early hours with the window ajar. The building houses a Beefeater restaurant where breakfast is served and you can also get lunch and dinner. There is also a bar. We opted for a premier breakfast, which means all you can eat! Tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt, breads etc were served on a help yourself basis. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order from a wide range of options, although sadly no black pudding! The cooked breakfast was very good with few mistakes given everyone was ordering different combinations. The coffee was cold though and when a pepper mill was requested the waiting staff had to be chased for it. The evening meals were on the whole good. Problems did occur though, such as one tough fillet steak and fish that was very dry. Vegetables didn't seem to be important as they were sparse and you could not order a side dish of vegetables. Requests for more cutlery during the meal were forgotten and we also had to chase the pepper mill again (perhaps they only have one?).
