“Our favourite in Nottingham!”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

We have stayed in the Jury's Inn many times when we have had a few days break, it is in an excellent location about a 10min walk to the centre. All of the staff are very friendly, always welcoming and willing to help. The rooms are clean and maintained very well. Would recommend this hotel for a few days break! The only thing is there is no parking at the hotel and the nearest car park is a couple of minutes walk away. Overall it is a good value for money hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Only stayed one night, the service was good and the room clean and comfortable

Breakfast is Buffet style and the room is very light and comfortable . Tasty food and a good selection . £10 is a lot though if paid for separately

The lifts are quick and the corridors well lit

Parking is non existant on site but a private car park next door charges £11 a day! 5 min walk. Right next to train station though but with buildings in the way makes it 10 min I reckon

Nice walk along canal to town, but not that easy to access all the bars and restaurants

A decent place to stay if you are on business but not ideal for a pleasure trip .

Nice lobby bar though:)

I recently stayed at this hotel for a weekend with friends. The hotel is located within walking distance from the train station, so ideal if you're visiting either for business or leisure and travelling by train. The hotel itself does not have a car park, but there is a secure car park nearby (2-3 minutes walk) which costs £11 per day to park and even though it is advertised that it's for the Jurys Inn, you don't get any money back from the hotel.

The hotel itself is clean, modern and has everything you need for a stay in the city. The rooms are fairly big with a decent sized bathroom as well as the usual TV and broadband facilities. The rooms are also air conditioned. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant which aren't too badly priced, and do offer a variety of food which is nice.

The hotel is located by the side of a river, and it about 10 minutes walk to the city centre or about £8 in a taxi.

I'd more than happily recommend the hotel to anyone; but one thing I would be mindful of is that with it being easily accessable there are a lot of stag, hen and other party people there on a weekend due to Nottingham being a popular night out.

I stayed here 6th September 2013 with my husband. We had previously stayed once before so were repeat customers. Our room was booked via Late Rooms so prices do tend to vary.

The hotel is very close to the train station. (it is quite literally just across the road) so it is very convenient for anyone coming to Nottingham via train. Despite the proximity to the train station we couldn't hear any noise from the trains in our room and were not disturbed by other guests.

The hotel is next to the canal and the room that we stayed in (Room 630) had windows to two walls which gave some spectacular views over the canal and the city.

Our room was very spacious, modern, clean and light with good TV receiption, wi-fi and all the things one would expect from a decent hotel i.e hairdryer, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, etc.

The bathroom was larger than you would normally expect to get. It was very clean and modern the bath had a grab rail which would be useful for any disabled travellers.

The hotel serves Costa Coffee and a decent and reasonably priced lunch with vegetarian options. I had a vegetarian burger which was delicious and well presented. A dressing had been added to my salad which I did not like but the waitress quickly offered to bring a side salad and came back with a big bowl of fresh salad. My husband was very happy with his meat based lunch also.

We had breakfast which was £8.00 for a full English/Continental breakfast if paid for when checking in. Again no complaints the hot food was fresh and tasty and catered to vegetarians by providing both meat and non meat sausages. There were plently of cereals to chose from a selection of fresh fruits, cheesed, pastries and fresh breads.

The receiption staff were very efficient and helpful and provided a map of the city centre for us to use.

The hotel whilst not being in the city centre is very close to the tram and two stops takes you right into the heart of Nottingham where there is a large choice of shops, pubs restaurants, etc. The trams run about every ten minutes and it costs £2.00 for a single or £3.50 for a return fare.

I honestly can't think of anything to fault the hotel on and would definitely stay here again.

Nottingham is a lively place and hosts lots of hen and stag weekends. I stayed at Jury's Inn on a Saturday night and my room was sandwiched between two.

I was able to get to sleep at around 3am, which wouldn't have been a problem if I was partying, but I was overnighting on a work trip.

Can't knock the service and the large room was fine, as was the price. I just wouldn't choose to stay there on a weekend if sleep was my priority.

Room Tip: Maybe ask not to be next to stag/hen parties?
