After my recent stay at the Oxford Belfry I received an email regarding spa breaks, always ready for a bargain I contacted the Nottingham Belfry as this is less than 30 minutes away for details, I was pleasantly surprised by the offer, full days use of pool, steam room, sauna and relaxing room which had complimentary drinks and soft drinks, a three course light lunch which was superb, a three course evening meal, overnight stay and to finish it all off a fantastic eat as much as you like breakfast. All for £99.
I will certainly be coming again with my friend and probably more friends will join us.

Modern hotel with nice rooms and public areas. Approx 20 min drive from Nottingham centre (£12-14 for a taxi) located on business park so nothing around the hotel but well located if you want to experience Nottingham and get a good night's sleep! Breakfast was good but service was slow - food not topped up promptly and slow to clear dirty plates. Reception also understaffed - spent over 15 mins trying to contact them to order a taxi - in the end walked to reception to order the taxi - not what I would expect for a 4* hotel. Bar staff friendly.

Stayed here as part of a wedding party, lovely hotel looks modern
rooms are good and nicely decorated although quite small for £120 for 1 night.
Bath and a shower cubicle which is nice to get a choice.
Alcohol is expensive at the bar and a couple of bar staff didnt have great customer service!
Our waitress at breakfast was lovely a really nice lady and very attentive breakfast was great a huge choice from cereal to croissants to fruit to full English there was everything and it was buffet style so eat all you want!
All in all had a lovely stay I would definitely return if I needed to stay in nottingham again

Stayed for 2 nights, pre-booked so a very good price. Clean tidy rooms. A very good selection at breakfast, with fruit, juices, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and a cooked breakfast, toast and fried bread all of which was help yourself to as much as you wanted, tea and coffee served by staff.
The only disappointing thing was on arrival there was no one on the desk and we had to wait 10 mins by which time there was another 3 couples also waiting to check in or ask for assistance.

This was our third stay at the Nottingham Belfry and we must admit it is one of our favourite local hotels. It is a well presented hotel and has a warm welcoming reception area. The staff on the front desk are always very friendly. I did notice however that on this occasion there seemed to be a lot of "Trainee or Assistant" staff members working. Not wishing to be derogatory but they seemed slightly ill informed / advised. Upon check in we were not advised of restaurant or breakfast times. This only resulted in a simple enquiry but a prerequisite I feel.

We upgraded to one of the suites for this stay and this was a great room with lots of complimentary additions such as a bottle of bubbly, chocolates, bottle of wine, robes, as well as the usual tea / coffee making facilities and some nice chocolate covered raisins. The only small gripe I have with the room and it is small, is for such an extravagant room, there were non of the pool / leisure club slippers in there with the robes which are present in the cheaper rooms we have stayed in here. (Gripe over on that one)

The only other small issue I had with this room is that a couple of the towels had "Marks" on them which resulted in non use. I did not make an issue of this as there were others in the bathroom but I feel these should be more carefully checked before placing. (Gripe over on that one)

One that did wind me up a bit more though was when ordering some light refreshments from the bar / lounge before using the pool. 2 latte's and 2 portions of toast with preserves. After 10 minutes one portion of toast with the two latte's arrived. After a further 25 minutes no other toast? The bar attendant was clearly having a "debate" on the phone with the kitchen about who should collect / deliver the other portion. Hence to say, after a total of 40 minutes, I ended up cancelling it and was offered a refund for both portions as well as a complimentary coffee each later "if" we returned.

To be fair the lady working this bar was very busy and didn't receive much in the way of support with our order, as small as it was, from her colleagues in the kitchen area. So no toast for me :-(
(Gripe over on that one)

On the subject of the trainee and assistant staff, I have to agree with zoecufflin who commented on the wedding issue. It was the same on our stay and very very busy with one or two of these taking place. I believe a large number of "experienced" staff were attributed to these. Fair enough, these are big money events but please don't forget your guests who make up the rest of the time when you are "quieter" We are just as important. (Not a gripe, just an observation)

Overall, We like the Belfry a lot. It is clean and the staff, in general, are very professional, friendly, polite and welcoming. We had no real problems during our stay apart from the obvious which were just annoying (And gripey) as opposed to serious issues.

Would we stay again?.....Yes of course. This is a great hotel with very comfy rooms. Treat yourself to a suite if you can next time. We are Breakaway Club Members, (£20 one off fee) which pays for itself with one stay in a suite. Join this and book a suite on a Sunday night, we paid £100 for the bed and breakfast stay but well worth it. Evening dinner was around £50 for two plus drinks but you pay for drinks wherever you go.

A great breakfast here, about as good as it gets to be honest, full buffet style with lots of choice. If you are a vegetarian order your veggie sausages when you are seated as these are cooked to order. I would have gave the service, cleanliness, rooms etc a score of 5 if not for the "gripes" Sorry but it made all the difference. Didn't use the Spa so can't score there.

Swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi all included in your stay. Only 3 beds / loungers in there though so snooze you lose on those. Don't forget your pound coin for the lockers. Robes are £6 each if you don't get them included in your room so another reason to join the club and get these included in your stay...(No slipper or towel charge though)

Room Tip: The suites seem quieter than other rooms we have stayed in. There are only 4 at the Belfry I think s...

We stayed here for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed oursleves. The Spa facilities were very good, nice size pool and a good Sauna and Steam room. The staff were friendly and helpful, always smiling ! The food was excellent, we ate breakfast every morning and it was always good, we also dined in the main restaurant on two separate occasions and both the service and the food was excellent. A good choice on the menu and flexibility with 'likes' and 'dislikes' ... nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was immaculate and a had a good shower as well as bath. What really surprised us was how quiet the rooms were, we were not disturbed at all and given the weddings taking place and the amount of people staying, that was a really good point. Overall - highly recommended

We stayed at the Belfry in Nottingham for a wedding. All staff we encountered throughout our stay were friendly, polite and helpful.

The room was clean, stylish and comfortable.

The breakfast was of a very good standard also.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nottingham.
