Description: Welcome to the White Lion Selston. Following the refurbishment of the old pub, we have re-opened to the public, with a new stylish interior, 50 seat restaurant upstairs and a pub menu served downstairs. We serve carvery meals in the afternoon and bar meals in the evenings. There is of course a selection of cask beers and wine and spirits available. If you are looking for a place to just relax and unwind or some thing a bit more special then pay us a visit. We are open from 11.30am Thursday to Sunday ( and hope to be opening during the week soon) and look forward to seeing you. The Team at the White Lion, Selston.

We live in a Selston and are really pleased to have a pub that serves such good food. The staff are really pleasant and the pub has been very well refurbished. Would really recommend the food. We ate from the bar menu but in the dining room where you can have either the al a carte or bar menu. I had the tomato and mozzarella terrine and the cod cheeks for starters and they were both delicious. The strawberry dessert was lovely. Great place to eat.

Despite only living a couple of hundred metres away, this is the first time I have eaten in the White Lion.

My wife and I took a friend here who was staying with us overnight, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I chose the ribeye steak, my wife had the scampi, and our friend had ham and eggs. All three meals were well presented and very tasty.

The service was very good and the staff were cheerful and friendly. We ate in the bar area instead of the upstairs restaurant as the pub was not busy.

The three meals, with drinks, came to £44.10, and we didn't have a starter or dessert as the mains were ample for all of us. I will definitely eat here again and can highly recommend it.

What a pleasant surprise when we visited this recently refurbished privately owned pub for a lunchtime meal. The food was excellent, freshly cooked, and very reasonably priced for the quality on offer..All the food is home cooked, sourced locally, and the service from the young staff was very good.and this is definitely not a fast food outlet.
The new decor both upstairs and downstairs is very modern and the toilets are very clean and equally as impressive.Downstairs there is a lounge, Dining Room and bar, and upstairs two restaurants., There is live music most Fridays and it gets very busy, as does Sunday lunch, and so it may be worth booking. There is also an outside well maintained garden area with seats and tables for dining out if the weather is kind., Enjoy the experience, we certainly did, and it will not be too long before we visit again.

I visited with family for a light lunch, this old public house has been transformed, the new look includes a restaurant upstairs and has an open plan bar area with two small dining areas downstairs. The food was good quality and local produce, service was great. This place is well worth a visit if you enjoy good quality food. I will be returning very soon to try the restaurant upstairs.

Had a lovely sunday lunch here recently to celebrate a family member birthday. I was very impressed by the decor and the cleanliness of the pub, its very classy indeed. We had our seating area upstairs, which was a little hot as its was 25`c summer day and No fans or air con. However, it was a lovely side room for our family. The food was presented really well, and tasted gorgeous! But it was a little pricey on the bar, which is a little frustrating when its about £5 a glass of wine.... ouch!!! The desserts were equally as nice, and they obviously take great pride in presentation. I will visit again for sure!
