Stopped for a meal whilst visiting in the area. I had the salmon cooked in a tagine and it was lovely and moist and really delicious. It came with a generous portion of vegetables and potatoes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't stay in the hotel so I am not able to rate this.

Hotel is very good. Family ran. The Staff were all polite and helpful. Parking is free. Location is good just off the busy A40 and 5 mins walk into the village. Pretty village built mainly with Cotswold stone. Theres a few good pubs and restaurants, enough for a great weekends choice. We did not have time to dine at the Indian restaurant named the Spice Lounge, but by locals accounts its really good food and value. Our hotel served great food and dished up a hearty breakfast buffet to start the day ! My only gripe is about our shower in room 12. Needs a new one fitting asap. Apart from that this hotel justifies its No1 position in Burford.
Cheers.

Stayed here last year in August with our daughter and son-in-law to celebrate my birthday. We had such a nice stay we decided to return. Last time we had a double bedroom which was nice but a bit small for our liking. This time we booked a four poster bed room. Yes it was more expensive but well worth the extra pennies. Without doubt I have never had such a beautiful fillet steak anywhere else and cooked exactly how I like it. All the food is good at this hotel and even before staying here as a guest we did have meals in the restaurant. Ended our stay with a lovely cooked breakfast. I know some people don't like buffet for breakfast but at least you can have exactly what you want then.

Room Tip: If you book by phone you can discuss your room choice.

Stayed here last night, hotel lovely - very tidy, staff excellent and friendly. Food was amazing, portions are so big! Good location, walked into Burford and back. Room good, not too big but only there one night so perfect. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back sometime.

This is the only place I've stayed in the Cotswolds so can't compare to anything in the area, but compared to what you can get elsewhere in the UK this was average at best. The room was clean and very quiet. The double bed was just 2 singles pushed together. The bathroom is very tired and the shower has as much power as a watering can with similar temperature control. The service was good and the food was ok for the price. Breakfast was good.

I am a bit late with this review but fell very strongly that I ought to comment. Our friends were getting married in Burford, so on the strength of reviews we booked in for one night. On arrival we were shown our room and were dlighted at the space and standard of it.
We asked for taxi numbers at the reception. Andy explained that there were non locally so we would be charged by companies for coming to Burford on top of the journey. The weather was awful so we thought we had no choice. Andy came to the rescue and offered the services of his son as our chauffeur. We gladly accepted.
The wedding was wonderful and we had a late stroll back to the hotel.
After a good nights sleep we departed the hotel. But not before we had availed ouselves of a filling full english breakfast in the restaurant.
This is a lovely hotel run by a lovely family who do their utmost to make you feel welcome. I would most certainly stay here again.
Thankyou Andy and family for topping off our fab wedding experience in Burford
