As described; everything we needed to go towards making our holiday an enjoyable one. The agents were quick to respond, following a chance encounter when we mentioned the mattress was a little hard for us, by providing a soft topper.
Located in a lovely town with walks from the door step, shops and lots of pubs to choose from following a day out exploring this lovely part of the country. We would particularly recommend the Indian restaurant, which also does Take Away, and the Lamb Inn, which has a lovely garden in which to sit in the sunshine.
nice little cottage in fantastic location just off the main street. there are a few issues with the property itself it is quite cold and dose lack the wow factor. the when we entered it wasnt the cleanest. the blinds in the rooms are very poor and let huge amounts of light in. we love burford greatly but will be using the other cottages next time. Manor cottages are extremely helpful and we have already booked again with them.
Delightful little suite in the heart of Burford. 40 metres down a lane from the bustling Main Street. The rooms were upstairs and very clean. All had been modernised tastefully without sacrificing character. The compact kitchen was amazing with all mod cons even a very useful clothes washer dryer in one. The bathroom was very clean with with a great water pressure for the shower a must for us. The main bedroom was generous in size and very clean and bright. The bed was a bit too hard for us with a slight slant. However a second bedroom had very comfy singles.
We stayed for 5 nights as a base to explore the Cotswolds which we did.
We would return without hesitation. In short, a delight compact suite of rooms that were clean, quaint, central with all mod cons. A credit to the owners AND cleaners.
The location of this cottage is great, right in the middle of Burford. It is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and Burford itself has loads of nice pubs, cafes and shops to potter round
The cottage had a couple of flaws, in the 2nd bedroom the blind is effectively transparent so I would recommend taking a blackout blind if you have kids staying in there and you don't want an early start. The blinds in the other rooms were better but because they are on velux windows with no way to hold them up they do not block the window properly
Also there is a VERY loud pump that kicks in for every tap - except the cold one in the kitchen for some reason - so again if you have kids you will need to plan washing and washing up when they are awake.
Sadly Manor cottages did not provide the cot or high chair that we requested either, despite my getting email confirmation the day before we arrived that these would be there for us.
I would visit again, but make sure we bring our own travel cot, high chair and blackout blind
