“You must stay here if you visit Burford”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

This is exactly what you expect when visiting a quality bed and breakfast, the owners have got it absolutely right. Lovely comfortable room with four poster bed and super bathroom with a large roll top bath for two! Decor and furniture make you feel as if you are a guest in someones house the the host Ian couldn't be more helpful. The cooked breakfast is the best I have had at a hotel or B&B anywhere. Bear in mind that you are right on the Burford high street - very picturesque, so you will get some traffic noise during the week, didn't bother us though and I bet it's fine on a Sunday.
We'll be back and will probably make this our regular stop in Burford.
P.S. Theres a fantastic sweet shop across the road - just saying!

Room Tip: All rooms look great, our had a four poster and roll top bath - superb.

We stayed for a 2 night break away from the children in January. We were very impressed with the character and cleanliness of the place, slap bang in the middle of the main street with access to all of the pubs. Ian took care of our every needs and gave us plenty of information on walks and driving tours and where to eat and drink. The staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfasts were very nice (and big!) and our room (The Southrop) was just beautful.
I would heartily recommend a stay at Burford House, you won't be disappointed. I intend to go back at some point. We fell in love with the area, so much so that we now want to move there.

Room Tip: The Southrop - big, four poster room. Overlooking garden.

We stayed here for our first Wedding Aniversary. Its all beautifully decorated and has an old world charm about it. Our room was nice, although not worth the £150 a night price tag, some aspects of the room were worn and old and in need of re decoration. The bed its self were two singles pushed together, this wasnt a problem but what was annoying was the lack of Duvet!! Im not in too just sheets and blankets so found that we were freezing in the night. Although little touches like the cookies were a welcome treat, along with the bath robes.
Breakfast was beautiful! and the staff lovely all round!
We didnt have dinner there as we felt that it wasnt our style but im sure it would have been lovely!!
Burford is such a wonderful place to visit and this was a great base!

Celebrating New Year at the Burford House Hotel was amazing. New Year' Eve Dinner was exquisite. The most delicious and beautifully presented canapes were very promising for what was about to follow. The Seven Course Dinner was Gourmet from beginning to end.
Ian and staff made us feel so at home and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We can not thank everybody enough for a fabulous ending of 2013 and making 2014 already unforgettable.
Thank you.

we are choosy and we have stayed a few times this year and every time we have loved the room and the excellent dinner bed and breakfast package. the restaurant and chef are very high standard - try banana soufflé. Hotel measures up well for such a well situated hotel and in reach of anywhere in the Cotswolds and even Bath and London are not too bad a trip from here. the lounges are comfortable and the host a gentleman. enjoy a Hendricks and tonic by the fire. the village is a star too - just what you imagine. enjoy this excellent home from home

Just got back from a short break in the Cotswolds with my new girlfriend. Booked this hotel after reading reviews here so knew it would be good. WOW the four poster super king size bedded suite was just what we both hoped for in a Cotswold retreat. A warm welcome by the owner, a great nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast and the value for money was amazing.

Thoroughly recommend this.

Room Tip: Go out of season - book rooms on side of hotel
