We called in hoping to find a table in this lovely pub on the Main Street in Burford and we were pleasantly surprised. We both ordered the Sunday roast which was succulent and hot and was accompanied by lots of lovely vegetables and gravy.

Room tip: We only ate in the restaurant and were not aware that this was a an hotel.

We only stayed here for one night, but it was an amazing experience to stay somewhere so old and with so much history. Both of our rooms were decorated with their own style and had everything necessary for a cozy and comfortable night's stay. We chose to eat dinner at the pub and it was superb, as was the breakfast. The hosts are very nice and we felt very welcomed. We will definitely stay here again.

Burford is a beautiful little chocolate-box town, with a thriving high street made up of ancient higgledy-piggledy buildings in beautiful sandstone, The Highway Inn is one such building. Behind the historic facade, the interior has been lovingly restored by the owners to make the most of the many original features, creating a homely country b&b atmosphere, but with the rich colour palette and attention to detail of a boutique hotel.

Room tip: Our room 'Burford' was large enough for our 2 children to join us

If you are planning on staying in Burford then I recommend this lovely Inn located in the centre of the village. The rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard and were very clean & comfortable. Delicious breakfast with really good coffee. What made the stay 10 out of 10 however was Scott and his team who were extremely welcoming and friendly. We will be back!

Popped in for breakfast halfway on our road trip. We didn’t want a full breakfast but wanted something tasty. We opted for the eggs benedict .. made fresh and was scrumptious. Coffee also good .
As we didn’t have full breakfast it would have been nice to alter the price accordingly... so it came out a tad expensive, but was a treat.
