We visited with our son and girlfriend who had been previously and told us what a fantastic meal they had.
We were not disappointed we visited at lunch and the restaurant was quiet. We were given the choice of tables by a pleasant and knowledgable waitress.
We had the 3 course lunch menu plus a selection of breads to start, the price is very reasonable for the quality of food served, also the length of time between courses was perfect, making for a very relaxed lunch.
We had a mixture of starters, for mains 2 had the slow roast collar of pork with pig cheek and potato fritters, which was excellent the best pork I have tasted and 2 had smoked haddock, which they said was cooked to perfection and full of flavour.
Desserts the homemade French donuts with homemade lemon curd and ice cream were divine as was the chocolate fondant.
We will definitely visit when we are in the area again, thank you to the chefs and staff for an excellent lunch
