We've just returned to Thailand after having a wonderful 8 day stay over Xmas at Glymestone Cottage (not sure why the spelling is different on Trip Advisor?)
The cottage is in a lovely peaceful country setting yet only 10 mins from Chipping Norton and 20 mins from Banbury.
Good quality refurb and decoration with generally good range of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery etc. a knife sharpener and more full length mirrors would be helpful as would a few more basic supplies on arrival compared with many other cottages we have stayed in - Thou the decorated Xmas tree, bubbly and chocolates was a lovely touch - thank you Nicky.
The log burner and endless supply of chopped wood was very much appreciated in the cold weather and added extra character at night.
Longer sofas are large and comfy, internet speed is great and TV / DVD all worked well.
Beds were all comfy and nice quality bath sheets and hand towels supplied.
Central heating and hot water supply all worked well 24hrs a day.
Highly recommended and we would return if revisiting the area.

We booked into Glymstone Cottage for Christmas week to be near our daughter, who was acting in the Pantomime in Chipping Norton. The cottage gave us a base in which to entertain various family members and on Christmas Day we were a party of 8. Nicky very kindly lent us extra crockery and chairs and everything went very smoothly. The kitchen is well-stocked and the open-plan ground floor and cosy log-burner made us feel very comfortable. Chipping Norton itself is a lovely, friendly little town, with useful shops and eating places. And the 'wold-famous' Panto is, of course, not to be missed!
