My mum and I stayed at Nortens B &B In April 2007. I would recomend this place to stay, as it was very reasonably priced for the area (we paid £60.00 for the room per night) and central to other locations in the Cotswolds. We had a twin bedded ensuite room located on the 2nd floor. The room was large and airy, tastefully decoratedand the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the power shower was excellent. The only down side was the stairs to our bedroom were narrow and reasonable steep, although not a problem for us, may be unsuitable for some people. Tea and Coffee facilities, although not available in your bedroom are available on the 1st floor landing and there was always plenty of tea and coffee available. The Nortens website is in need of updating, as this gives the impression that there is a giftshop and cafe below the accomodation - in fact it is now a superb italian restaurant called 'little Sciliy' - would highly recomend eating here the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning is also served in the Italian restaurant and was juice followed by a tradational English breakfast with as much tea and toast as you can manage. On the whole we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly not hesitate staying here again and would recomend to family and friends.
