We weren't overly impressed by they quality of food at this pub. The service was nice and the prices weren't terrible, but it really wasn't up to any kind of standard that I would recommend. I wouldn't eat here again.

We went to Henley with family to wander and needed a light lunch. This was perfect for our needs. Food was basic but tasty and service prompt and friendly

Stopped here for a pub lunch, ate an unmemorable but OK meal. Waldorf salad and a chicken terrine with onion chutney. Nothing special. Toast served with the terrine was rubbery and cold. Terrine was lacking seasoning. salad was not garnished and very beige in appearance. Service was friendly and swift. Loos were squeaky clean. We sat by the window which was very draughty so kept our coats on to eat. Prices not bad.

Quiet during a wet October lunchtime, but the views of the River Thames are lovely.
Lunchtime sandwiches are nothing special, one slice of bread per sandwich, simple mayo covered prawns and chicken (separately obviously), and chips on the side. Costing approx. £7 each I feel this is not particularly good value.
Nothing else particularly wrong with the place, but just not inspiring.
Other establishments in Henley offer both better value and quality.
I'm sure in the summer months it's a very busy place, but i'm not sure i'd bother returning.

Feeling very hungry after walking around Roman Ruins for a few hours, we tried our luck at The Angel. Great choice. We ordered a sandwich but what we got was a very delicious meal of Wiltshire ham and cheese on a thick slice of wholemeal bread and served with chips. Best value ever. Service was cheerful and quite prompt. If you are in Henley choose to eat here, you will not be disappointed.
