We were delayed from returning to the USA due to Hurricane Irene so we looked for a B&B with a reasonable rate. This is really a conference center in a separate building, a change from the quaint B&B we had stayed at during the trip. The staff was friendly and settled us in our rooms. A good English Breakfast or Omelets were served in the golf clubs clubhouse, a short walk from our rooms. The rooms was clean and quiet , we had a good experience. I think it was well worth the 55 pounds a room which was a lot less than others for that night.

Stayed one night for wedding reception.
Efficient check in.
Room ready and spotlessly clean. Bathroom also clean, well maintained and excellent power shower.
Breakfast was excellent, hot, tasty, and plenty of choice.
All staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful.
Plenty of free parking.
I would rate it highly in terms of value for money.
We didnt experience any noise issues as mentioned by other reviews.

Room Tip: Book room 1. Its ensuite and faces quiet garden

If you want a good night's sleep & don't want to be woken up @ 05:30 then don't stay here! The rooms are basic in a separate block from the clubhouse with paper thin walls. We heard guests next door talking, every word on their TV, & their daughter yelling. By far the worst though was the lawnmower 05:30 on the tees! We complained at breakfast & the waitress apologised but said it happens every day as the grounds men only have 1.5 he's to mow before 07:00 tee off!

TV was old 10" CRT analog with hardly any reception on C4.

Club house is nice though & the included breakfast was good, with pleasant cheary waitress.

Visited Hanley-on-thames for a day and overnight stay. Stay at Badgemore Park Hotel and it turned out to be a very good choice.

Our bedroom was clean and cosy. The bathroom was clean and there was a nice powerful shower. The breakfast was very good - hot drinks, juice, cereal, all day breakfast (all served to the table). The staff are very friendly and courteous.

Staying at this B&B was a good choice and turned out to be very good value for money. Would recommend.

We stayed in Badgemore Park's bed & breakfast accommodation for two nights (Saturday and Sunday) because we were attending a weekend event near Henley. The building itself is partly a conversion of an original building and partly a modern extension. It is situated in a secluded and quiet part of the complex with most (if not may be all) of the guest accommodation on the first floor. We arranged to arrive a little earlier than the usual check in time on the Saturday and the staff were very accommodating. Everyone who works there seemed friendly and helpful.
The rooms are adequate and spotlessly clean. Our bed was very comfortable and there were spare pillows/blanket too. We had a TV and tea and coffee making facilities in the room but were only given the usual 4 miniature milk portions which was barely enough for two cups of tea. Fortunately, we discovered a kitchen area downstairs and we were able to help ourselves to more supplies. There is also a lounge area which looked very nice although we didn't use it ourselves.
The breakfast is served in a bright and airy dining room in the main building and was nice enough. The staff were very attentive but I felt the choice was a bit limited (cereal, toast, fry-up). I would have liked the option of some fresh fruit or yoghurt.
The following things are worth noting before you book. This is NOT a 'traditional' B&B. You're actually staying in a conference centre and it really shows. The rooms are towards the 'utilitarian' end of the scale rather than the 'cosy' end but this is in no way a criticism. It was exactly what we were looking for – just somewhere comfortable to sleep at the end of each day. However, I realise it may not suit everyone. The ground floor actually houses a private finance company which shares a front door with the accommodation. Not all the rooms are en-suite so you might need to go through a public corridor to get to your bathroom. This is quite an odd experience on week days because, although you're upstairs, you're on an open landing with people sitting at their desks conducting a business and taking phone calls at the bottom of the stairs!
I recommend you take good ear plugs because the public areas have few soft furnishings so the acoustics are terrible. Even the slightest sound echoed around the building. We were woken up by banging doors on both nights and early each morning as it’s virtually impossible to close a door or climb the wooden stairs quietly.
One other thing; although the B&B has 4 star ‘Quality in tourism’ badge, it would be no more than 2 or 3 star if iyt were a hotel because not all the rooms are en-suite and you have to walk through the complex to another building for breakfast BUT I must stress that we REALLY enjoyed our stay. The staff were fantastic (which is always very important to us), the accommodation was comfortable and very clean, and the location was lovely.
