This used to be the most amazing riding establishment 50 years ago, its a pity there are no references or pictures to this anywhere.
it has been beautifully converted.
The rings for tying horses still remain.
Only downsides were, could not see telly, picture a problem needed to be at right angle.
everything closed at night unless bar and restaurant are being used.

We arrived at the hotel at about 7pm at night and everything was all closed up and the location was very poorly lit and signposted. On speaking to the bar staff we had to check in with them and they told us everything shut after dark and they were only open as there was a meal on - this should have been stated on the website as we could have turned up and not been able to get into the room even though we had paid for it.

We were then shown to the building with our room in. They couldn't find the key for the room which we had been assigned so the bar woman bought 2 other keys across with her in the hope that if she couldn't find the key then one of those would be made up. The key couldn't be located and one of the other rooms was not ready but luckily the second one was, although it doesn't bear thinking about what would have happened if it hadn't been ready.

The room was quite basic and had a very small screen TV which was in one corner. There were also no curtains in the room across the quite large window. The bathroom was tiny and the shower had been put on the side where there was a low slanting roof so you had to be very careful when moving that you didn't smack your head on it, something that my partner did do as he is quite tall. The shower was not very powerful and you had to go through the ice cold water to both turn it on and off.

When we asked the lady who showed us to our room what time checkout was she wasn't very helpful on giving us an exact answer but told us breakfast was from 8.30 but somebody would be around from about 7.30.

Stayed for 1 night during the Henley Festival. Badgemore is just 1 mile from the town centre so quite convenient at a time when accommodation is hard to come by. Rooms are OK for a night or two, but not really a destination for a holiday or special occasion. Staff were friendly and cooked breakfast in the golf club house was good. Note that prices double during the Regatta and the Fesitval weeks.

We were delayed from returning to the USA due to Hurricane Irene so we looked for a B&B with a reasonable rate. This is really a conference center in a separate building, a change from the quaint B&B we had stayed at during the trip. The staff was friendly and settled us in our rooms. A good English Breakfast or Omelets were served in the golf clubs clubhouse, a short walk from our rooms. The rooms was clean and quiet , we had a good experience. I think it was well worth the 55 pounds a room which was a lot less than others for that night.

Stayed one night for wedding reception.
Efficient check in.
Room ready and spotlessly clean. Bathroom also clean, well maintained and excellent power shower.
Breakfast was excellent, hot, tasty, and plenty of choice.
All staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful.
Plenty of free parking.
I would rate it highly in terms of value for money.
We didnt experience any noise issues as mentioned by other reviews.

Room Tip: Book room 1. Its ensuite and faces quiet garden

If you want a good night's sleep & don't want to be woken up @ 05:30 then don't stay here! The rooms are basic in a separate block from the clubhouse with paper thin walls. We heard guests next door talking, every word on their TV, & their daughter yelling. By far the worst though was the lawnmower 05:30 on the tees! We complained at breakfast & the waitress apologised but said it happens every day as the grounds men only have 1.5 he's to mow before 07:00 tee off!

TV was old 10" CRT analog with hardly any reception on C4.

Club house is nice though & the included breakfast was good, with pleasant cheary waitress.
