Chiltern Valley Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 2 August 2013

My husband and I stayed in the B&B overnight on the 23 July in order to take part in the wine tasting tour. The room was really lovely, very clean, lovely comfortable bed and a delightful victorian bath and shower. The bath is huge and the shower a real experience (it also has a modern shower head so you don't miss out on anything). We found the staff to be very helpful and it was made quite clear to us that breakfast finished at 9.30 and we were asked at what time we would like it. There is a lovely garden and a small swimming pool and hot tub (which is not made clear enough on the website, please take note owners as I did not know to take a swimming costume). The sitting room is very comfortable and homey and the breakfast room very pretty and the breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice indeed. We did indeed also have sour milk in the fridge so couldn't make coffee but I am quite sure that it was fresh when the housekeeper put it in there as we made tea when we arrived and that was fine. I think it must have been that the fridge didn't work very well. She is certainly not the sort of person who wouldn't care whether it was fresh or not. We had such a nice stay that we didn't even mention it. My only negative thought was that the bedroom curtain lining could do with replacing just to make the room perfect. The tour was also really nice, lots of lovely tastings, not just wine but beer and liquers also. Would certainly recommend and it's in such a pretty part of the country too, lots of lovely pubs and walks nearby.

Stayed overnight at the Chiltern Valley Bed & Breakfast after attending the tour of the Vineyard and Brewery. Our room (Barn view room) was delightful - the bathroom was huge. There was also a wonderful large lounge and beautiful gardens where you can sit. Breakfast was very good and the service was marvellous. We would definitely recommend both the tour and the B & B.

My wife and I stayed for two nights to make a short break of a tour voucher present. The tour of the winery and brewery was very good and the tasting enjoyed more by staying onsite. Our room was the Vineyard View and it was faultless as was the service from the staff. Breakfast was the full English which could only be bettered with the addition of local butchers sausages. The surrounding area really is England unspoilt. Plenty of good walks and quiet lanes for safer cycle rides. We hired two electric bikes from the B and B and these were well worth it as some of the lanes have fairly steep sections. There is a good walk from Hambleden ( if its been on telly or in the cinema it was probably filmed there) along the chalk stream through the water meadows down to the Thames then upstream towards Henley. We were there during Henley Regatta and it is quite an event to see. There are plenty of good pubs in the area and many do really good food. The one for me was the Fox and Hounds at Christmas Common. The Dexter beef and ale pie is stunning.
Chiltern Valley Winery nice place nice people, what more could you want? Maybe sausages with breakfast.
Great stay. Thankyou. Neil & Jo

We had a winery tour gift voucher and decided to use the B&B to save one of us not being able to enjoy the tasting. The tour and tasting was most interesting and we bought one or two more bottle home for further sampling. The guesthouse was in a delightful setting and our room (the garden room) overlooked the garden and vineyard. The trees in the garden were magnificent. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We also had the use of a comfortable lounge with settees and a large TV. The breakfast was very pleasantly served giving a choice of cereals, orange juice and a full cooked farmhouse breakfast together with toast.
Overall a delightful stay. I would stay there again if in the area.

Room Tip: Garden room was delightful - I expect it had the best view in the house

A tour and (very generous ) tasting at the winery and brewery must be followed by an overnight stay at the farmhouse B&B. We stayed in the Orchard View Room where we relaxed in blissful tranquility after our tasting tour prior to a taxi journey to one of the many outstanding local pubs for a fantastic evening meal. Our room was beautiful - we especially loved the antique bath and toilet in the modern bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean; the bed bedecked in crisp white cotton bedding was exceptionally comfortable and the provision of a small fridge, bottled water, fresh milk and tea/coffee making facilities was a very welcome extra.

The separate tv/sitting room shared by all four bedrooms is comfortable and nicely furnished; ideal if you are staying with friends and family and are occupyong more than one bedroom.

A delicious breakfast was served in a beautifully light and airy room by very welcoming and friendly people - the perfect start to a day exploring the beautiful location and nearby villages after stocking up with wine, beer, liqueurs, condiments, honey and amazing asparagus.

This is the first time we've visited this area but it is definitely not the last! We will stay here again to further explore and enjoy the wonderful hospitaity at Chitern Valley; not to mention its delicious products!

Room Tip: We loved our room but next time think we will choose the Vineyard view as it is more detached from t...

A really lovely B & B set in beautiful scenery. The rooms were spotless clean, looked so fresh and welcoming with lovely little touches, fresh milk instead of little containers of long life for example. The staff were all so very helpful and friendly. It was a real pleasure to stay there and the absolute perfect way to finish of the excellent Brewery and Winery tour and tasting next door.

Room Tip: The Garden View does what it says on the tin - a lovely view over the gardens.

Very clean and comfortable B&B attached to the Winery where we had the tasting & tour.
Bedroom& bathroom were spotlessly clean and looked so fresh. Lovely people that run it also. Lucie who checked us in offered to drive us down the lane/hill to the local pub & restaurant in the evening which was very good of her. We had a lovely walk instead in the sunshine. (How nice was that though) Breakfast was very nice too, friendly housekeeper who we had a long chat over breakfast with about travelling abroad.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be of the same standard, quiet surroundings so no noise at all.
