Very close to the centre of town in a former brewery. The hotel and rooms have real character and I was impressed. Room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and super soft pillows - I certainly slept well. Bathroom upstairs with big bath and walk in shower. Bath robes, big TV, tea and coffee so all you would expect. Food in ther restaurant was good with a wide choice. Do not know how much we piad so cannot comment on value. Asked about weekend prices and the sounded expensive - generally seemed quiet but it was a Monday.

Oh wow ...
You want to get married, don't look anywhere else.
Go for the Hotel du Vin Henley.
With your very own wedding planer at the hotel nothing can go wrong.
The hotel wen every way to make our wedding as special as possible.
We had guests from Austria & the US.
All of them could not believe how amazing the venue, the service & the food was!
That makes me think now ... did they cry at the ceremony because of us or because of how beautiful the Canata room was?? :-)
Location, tick. Food, tick. Service, tick.
Our bedroom. Go for the Dom Perignon suite.
Fancy a shower in the old brewing tank? Fancy a night in the 8 foot bed?
Well, go for it! The hotel got it all on offer!

If you stay here it's not going to be a good night's sleep. We liked the decor, the room and the bathroom, but the noise from the room above was dreadful. They have put down wooden floor boards without insolation, and every footstep reverberates through. There was a wedding on and loads of people staying were partying all night, so the noise from the smokers in the courtyard carried. Don't think the people in the room above were being noisy, just that every footstep until 5 a.m. could be heard. By the way, we were in the GEOFF room on the second floor if you want to avoid that one.

Stayed here before and after a wedding in Henley, we have stayed at other du vins and this Henley one is a v poor relation.
We had to move room as it was facing a v busy noisy road that woke us up at 6am with heavy goods vehicles passing and shaking the non sound proofed windows. We moved to another room which had no view at all, and was dark and pokey. It was quieter.
The bar is good but the staff r slow.
The games room was a disgrace, a tired 3/4 size snooker table without a full set of balls, they had a random collection of pool and snooker balls of varying sizes.
Breakfast was good in the courtyard.

Overall v poor value.
4/10

I was here for one night with work colleagues. I have eaten here before & have always rated the food & service. This time was no different. We had excellent buffet lunch & a la carte dinner.

The rooms are also of a high standard with great facilities. The issue with this hotel is the noise. I don't know whether it was my room specifically but it was soooooooooooo noisy until 3am that I couldn't sleep. They finally had to bring my ear plugs so I could try and get some sleep but the the thin walls make every sound very loud in the dead of night.

Real shame because its a class act otherwise ...

This is a lovely hotel right in the heart of Henley, within sight of the river. Don’t worry about parking – the hotel operates a valet parking service. The building is a historic brewery with lots of unusual architectural features (as is common with Hotels du Vin). Our room was the second price level and was particularly large and well equipped (safe, coffee, fridge, iron/board etc.); duplex style with the bathroom above the bedroom. The free standing roll top bath and the powerful shower in a large cubical were both top notch. The bar spreads across two rooms both with large comfy leather settees – it serves snacks if you don’t need a full meal. The restaurant offered good choice and value for money but it’s easy to spend more on wine than food! The only criticism of the hotel is that most guest rooms are accessed via the restaurant so during your meal people will be passing with bags etc. Just a minor point but its surprising that direct access to guest rooms was not included in the design of the building. Breakfast is the usual Hotel du Vin excellent buffet or for £2 extra you have several cooked choices.

Stayed at end of June whilst attending a wedding in town. Initially impressed with room at check in (though less impressed with £15 valet parking charge - we had 2 cars with us). Problems really kicked in next morning at breakfast - it would appear they were short staffed but this did not forgive the hour wait for breakfast (we finally gave up) and appalling attitude of our waitress who was both rude and disinterested. Our breakfast was refunded but this did not make up for the frustration encountered on what should have been a relaxing, sunny Sunday morning. Would be very uncertain about returning or trying other locations after this experience.
