Loch Fyne Henley

Stayed for an evening with my partner during half term. She had booked us a double room as we were in the area for a romantic break. The room was lovely, big and with a good bathroom. Breakfast was great and the waitress was attentive and worked hard.

Location was great for the whole of Henley is on your doorstep.

Unfortunately when we checked in, the check in staff (a female member of staff) queried the fact we had booked a double room and explained that it was a double bed and we are a same sex couple. This is unacceptable in my opinion and I would like them to receive training.

We stayed 3 nights and our room was great, felt like we were staying at someones house rather than a hotel. Breaky was included and cooked fresh when you wanted it. The waitress was really lovely and attentitive. The shower was tiny and the water would not drain out of the shower for an hour or more so it overflowed every shower we had, but everything else was wonderful. Super close to Henley on Thames and other restaurants.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely hotel and must say that we have been so well looked after by the staff, who were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed here with friends and our rooms were spacious and the breakfasts were plentiful and very relaxed. We were not rushed away from the table even though we were always last to leave!

I travel for business and have stayed at Milsom's the past 2 trips. This place is adorable. Right in the main town square in Henley on Thames, close to food, shops and a great restaurant downstairs.
Rooms are very quiet and comfortable. The staff always make the effort to ensure your comfort and it is my go-to spot whenever I come to the Maidenhead area.

Thanks guys!

We went for a weekend break for my partner's birthday, and had reasonably high expectations. Unfortunately, these were not met.
Firstly, the hotel itself is pretty hard to find: you access it either through Loch Fyne restaurant or via a garage door to the side of the restaurant (which is odd in itself). We had a room with a leak in the ceiling which drenched our clothes; a noisy, invisible extractor fan kept us awake at night, the loo wouldn't stop flushing, and at breakfast I ordered a hot chocolate and porridge with honey and banana (both items clearly available on the breakfast menu), only to be told by the somewhat dour waitress that "we don't normally do hot chocolate for breakfast, and I will have to check if we have any bananas". What??! Finally, the "clean" plates stacked on the buffet table at breakfast were absolutely filthy - some had what looked like tomato sauce stains on them; others were fingerprinted.
Our evening meal at Loch Fyne was lovely, however, and the restaurant staff were attentive and good; the food quality was high.
It felt overall as though the hotel was a kind of after-thought to the restaurant: a good fish restaurant with a few rooms available by chance.
Not an experience to repeat, unfortunately.

Just got back from this hotel after spending a night there with my boyfriend. Room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. Loch fine beneath had great service. Had a lovely meal there in the evening. Checking in and out was fine although struggled to find the way in initially. Hotel location is excellent. Right in the centre of town.
