This cottage is a real find. Set back from the rest of the world in its own private alley (bar the owners home next door), this characterful property has been brought back to life with care and attention. Once a derelict ex-residence for a pump house worker (I believe)... it is now homely, inviting and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in creating a happy place to stay is evident throughout. This is definitely our bouncy host’s place and it was a joy to be her paying guest.
The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was huge, complete with free standing bathtub. The hot water never runs out and and the dining room was perfect for board games (as well as eating food cooked in the very well laden adjoining kitchen).
Six of us adults and one child had more than enough space to cohabit without conflict. In fact we got on incredibly well.
There is no question. If you’re considering a break here- book it!
We stayed in the house for a girls weekend. The house is in a perfect location and has all the creature comforts you need. The house is beautiful, I would definitely stay here again.
This beautifully and tastefully presented cottage welcomes you with it's warmth as soon as you come through the front door. It is comprehensively equipped and we had a very much needed and peaceful stay here. Thank you to Amanda who prepared everything for us at short notice. Her personal touches were very much appreciated, as was the communication she had with us. I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation.
We spent 9 days in this lovely cottage over Christmas. It was very comfortable and well equipped for 6 of us. Amanda even decorated the house for Christmas. It is just a short walk to the centre of Henley with lovely shops, restaurants and pubs.
Amanda was very helpful and we all really enjoyed our stay.
My cousins and I stayed at Amanda's lovely cottage while exploring the area. The cottage is so clean and set up so well for anything you might want to do. Perfectly located for walking into Henley with its lovely shops and restaurants. We had a day trip to Windsor and the location is also perfect for that. Make sure that you have directions on hand when you are looking for the cottage. It is easy to locate if you follow Amanda's instructions and don't trust taxi driver's to know the house. You can't do better than staying in the Henley Victorian Cottage if you want great accommodations close to so many sights.
This house is utterly divine, so well appointed with beautiful art and the most comfortable beds. Amanda has thought of everything and is incredibly helpful when planning you trip. The location is just 5 minutes into town but you are tucked away and can be as noisy as you like!
We will return...
