Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Located on busy George Street, Zizzi Oxford is close to the bus and railway stations in the centre of town and in the heart of the theatre and cinema district. The restaurant itself is heavily influenced by local legend C.S. Lewis, writer of one of the most popular books of all time, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Silver birch trees referencing the forest scenes from the book and lighting features alluding to the snow drops in Narnia welcome diners. So, whether it's for a business meeting, a family get-together, a party or a romantic meal, the team at Zizzi in Oxford looks forward to your visit. And if you’re celebrating something special, see if our private dining area is right for you.

We visited with our two grandsons during half term holidays and found it a very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. We all had different pizzas and we all really enjoyed them.My wife had a white wine and i had a red and were both very good. All in all a very good place to have a pizza lunch.I would recommendZizzi.

Though there was only one chef on a bank holiday Monday we had a nice lunch. Staff were attentive and kept us informed on timings. Lovely surroundings, nice and relaxed, no rush. Once again nice to find they have a gluten free menu with good choice. If you want a quick turn around not sure that this is the place. Would eat here again.

Great food cooked in brick ovens. Good beer and wine selections as well. Not at all pricey when compared to other good restaurants in town.

Disappointing visit. I won't be going to Zizzi's again.
We had booked online via a voucher email and ordered from a set menu printed on our voucher. It was our first visit and very busy /noisy.

The food was ok except they brought my husband a chicken risotto instead of a mushroom one - it would have been unacceptable if he was vegetarian.

The problem came at the end of the meal when they made a huge and embarrassing fuss about us wanting to use the voucher. Apparently we were supposed to declare at the point of arriving that we intended to use a voucher, even though we had booked in response to an email they had sent. To be honest, the deal was only going to save us a couple of pounds, but the way the waitress was so surly about the whole thing made us feel really unwelcome and the whole issue really spoiled the evening.

They did eventually say that we could have the discount but by this point we just couldn't wait to leave.

I'd recommend pizza express instead - they seem much less secretive about the rules and regulations of their vouchers.
