We were given a cruise and lunch as a gift token which we used last week. The weather was perfect which added to the experience. The boat was small with only twelve passengers, eight of us eating. The food was well presented, good selection and tasty, both the regular menu and my gluten free option. The service was friendly and welcoming and the information about sights we passed was informative and varied. It was clear that the pilot had good local knowledge, not just 'learnt' patter. My husband is Oxford born and bred, so this was appreciated. One of the beauties of Oxford is the ability to find pockets of peace and tranquility in a bustling city centre. This trip will provide such an opportunity and I fully recommend it.

We took the 1230 picnic cruise, although we didn't order any food. It was interesting but I think longer than it needed to be as there wasn't a great deal to see. What we did see was lovely but as it was pretty chilly we were pretty much frozen by the end. It was interesting to see the boat houses used by the university rowers but the rest was just scenery. Luckily we had a Groupon deal and are certainly glad we didn't pay the full price which was expensive for what it was.

Aboard the Golden Slumbers Edwardian-esque boat built in 2008, we spent a very enjoyably relaxing two and a half hours, cruising down the Thames on a quintessentially English Monday afternoon. Accompanied by two other couples, we were a perfectly formed party of 6.

Perfect for my Mother's 60th birthday, our boat was festooned with cushions, and we felt suitably rested and comfortably cosy, swathed with snug woollen blankets. Our Captain/Skipper/Guide, Pete, proved to be an insightful sage who imparted his anecdotal wit as we were skilfully escorted through locks, past boat houses, Lewis Carroll's inspirational stomping grounds, roving geese, swans and ducks, historical buildings and many more sights beyond. The white rabbit's cousin even made an appearance, however, he was running a little too late to join the party.

I want to particularly thank Pete and one of the three owners of The Folly. They both went above and beyond to create a very memorable afternoon, made us both feel very welcome and lent a helpful hand when boarding and alighting. As a Vegan and a meat-eater, we were both well catered for and suitably satiated - the two glasses of wine were a bonus for our riverbank adventure.

Enjoyed a very relaxing cruise that was very good value for money...great views of the river with a very informative pilot and on a day when the weather was not at its best the trip wasn't spoiled as we were given blankets to keep us snug

Hired the two edwardian-style boats to take a wedding party up the river to our reception venue. The boats were quiet and relaxing, as was the journey itself. The boats were easily booked via their websites and I was in constant communication with the company to ensure everything went according to plan. The pilots themselves were amiable and helpful, ensured our journey was nothing short of lovely.
