Travelodge Oxford Peartree Hotel
Ranked #20 of 44 Hotels in Oxford
Reviewed 26 August 2014

The Oxford Peartree Travelodge is a reasonably priced place to stay close to Oxford and other attractions like Blenheim Palace. It is located right next door to a park and ride that runs about every quarter of an hour to and from Oxford and a return for two adults costs just under five pounds and takes the problem of trying to park in Oxford away. This hotel looks like it has been recently refurbished and you get what you expect to pay for from a Travelodge. The rooms are comfortable and large, the one I stayed in was a double but had enough room in it to accommodate another bed. There was plenty of storage space including in the bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom which had a good bath/shower. The hotel as a whole was clean and well maintained but has the look and feel of a university hall of residence. There is no lift so if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage ask for a ground floor room. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. There is nowhere to eat or drink on site, but the hotel next door has a bar and restaurant and the service station across the road has fast food outlets and a shop. Reception also has a vending machine. The only downsides to the Peartree Travelodge while I stayed there was that you have to pay three pounds a day parking, although this is advertised at the time of booking. The wifi is free for only thirty minutes a day which is something the Travelodge chain should change in all their hotels, and the TV in the room was not tuned to get more than a few channels of Freeview. Other than that the Oxford Peartree Travelodge was good value accommodation and fine for a short stay.

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs or have lots of luggage go for a ground floor room as there is no lift.

Stayed here on Thursday and Sunday night great stay great value for your money, stayed elsewhere Friday & Saturday which cost triple the price. The room was smaller & the bed was not as comfortable as those at the Travelodge .

This Travelodge is ideal with the adjacent Park n Ride transport scheme to visit Oxford with little hassle and plenty of time. Other facilities on the same site gives a full support scenario especially when touring on a budget.

My wife and I stayed at the Travelodge due to it's proximity to the Peartree park and ride as we were planning on spending time in Oxford city centre. It is ideally located for this being right next door and no more than 5 minute walk.

To be honest we use this travel lodge quite a lot, and got to know the people who work there, they are always friendly and welcoming and will do anything they can to help you. we find this to be one of the best travel lodges to use given its Close proximity to Oxford
The hotel itself is very well maintained , and and clean, and has been refurbished recently, it is even quite close to Waitrose!

Regular stays at this hotel which offers value for money in a budget hotel in a good location for Oxford with frequent park and ride services to take you into the city. You know what to expect with a Travelodge and you get no more. Yes it can be noisy but it's at a road services on the edge of the A34 with a Waitrose, Starbucks and KFC as well as a Holiday Inn.
Pay for parking is disappointing if you are a hotel guest but that's how budget hotels work in the modern world.
Would recommend for travel stop off or access to Oxford.

Good value comfortable break. Warm, friendly and very helpful staff. Room fully equipped for four, and decent beds for the children. Clean, quiet and well positioned next to park & ride to Oxford. Staff were very knowledgeable about the area and facilities and very happy to share information.
