It rained but we didn't notice because Vinny entertained us with a most fascinating and informative tour giving a real insight into the life of the University. The time flew by and this taster of Oxford means we want to continue our exploration.

By the appointed hour early on a Monday morning my his and and I were the only participants. Vinny took pity on us and gave us the most personal, private and idiosyncratic tour of his University. He was very entertaining with stories of his own sometimes less than exemplary academic behaviour. He charmed the staff at the Library into allowing us entry to what turned out to be part of the Harry Potter Set. Likewise we were able to visit New College on a day when "Lewis" was being shot and to have him illuminate the glories of the New College Chapel. Not withstanding Vinny's theatrical flair he has a deep personal knowledge of the daily life of an Oxford undergrad and all it's weird rituals. We will never look at red carnations without thinking of Vinny and Oxford.

We used the official tour fro the Tourist Info Office on Broad Street. The guide was soooo knowledgeable, very pleasant and patient - answering lots of questions.

I would just like to say a big thank you for a really nice tour carried out by Mrs Billimore who knew her stuff and made all the information and stories about the various colleges and sights we saw very interesting and entertaining.

She made the whole tour very enjoyable.

We booked it because we had friends staying and although we don’t live far away (Chinnor) we had never done any of the tours before now we will certainly book another one when we have other visitors staying. Christine and Dave Breden

Plenty to see and lots of information. Focused on a small area of the city so may have missed a few things off. Seemed a bit disorganised in deciding where to go next. Definitely worth doing.
