I stayed at this fantastic hotel whilst visiting Oxford and couldn't have been happier. The location is perfect, the breakfast is wonderful and the rooms are lovely. I'd like to say a special thank you to the manageress Deniz Bostanci for being so extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Can't wait for my next stay!

We stayed at the Old Parsonage over the Christmas break and from the point of arrival our every need was catered for. The room was very comfortable and the food exceptional. Concierge, waiting staff and checkout were all first rate. The hotel itself we found cosy and being small there was always a friendly atmosphere. We were offered a complimentary guided tour of the Oxford colleges and whilst it was Christmas and a number of colleges closed the guide certainly made up for it with a very knowledgable commentary.
We will definately be back in 2011.

This amazing little hotel has all the charm and atmosphere you would expect for a winter break in quaint Oxford. Full of character and history you walk in through the walled courtyard that looks centuries old and are greeted by a roaring fire in the bar/reception area. We were shown our loveley room that was clean and well styled, a nice modern twist on a period building. We ate in the vibrant busy restaurant that night and were wowed by the first class service and food, a great wine list and large portions to fill us up and keep us warm. Can't recommend this hotel enough.....a great place and only a 5 min walk into town. Perfect.

Took my Mother to Afternoon tea for her Birthday last Monday. Tea was an excellent selection of leaf tea or coffee. Sandwiches smoked salmon, turkey Cranberry and watercress, egg. The scones were amazing, and the home made lemon curd was wonderful as was the jam, plenty of cream for both of us.
Dining room has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very efficient, would have liked a different selection of cakes we had a mince pie, Christmas cake and chocolate torte would have preferred a mini fruit tart or éclair or lemon cake.
One disappointment was that there are no disabled toilet facilities and the ladies toilets are very low and down steps which my Mother finds difficulty with.
We had to stop in Toys Are Us on the Botley Road which have excellent toilet facilities for all the family.

We stayed 2 nights. Our initial room was a single with a double bed shoe horned in. Our second room was a little bigger but still very cozy for the money and totally lacking in basic storage. The staff was totally disinterested in us as guests and we were made to feel second best to the restaurant guests. We could not find any space for a drink at 6.00 on saturday evening and ended up with a bottle of wine from Sainsbury's in our room. This is no more that a restaurant with rooms and very small ones at that.

Thank you for your reveiw we really appreciate all feed back whether it is positive or negative.

I'm very sorry that you found your room small. Due to the nature of the building our rooms do vary in size and I'm pleased to hear that our reception team assisted you in changing rooms.

As our restaurant is very popular to both our Hotel guests and Oxford residents alike, we do get busy especially at weekends. I apologize there was no table available at the time you required.

Once again thank you very much for your comments and I hope to see you back at the Old Parsonage so that we can demonstrate our usual high standard of hospitality.

Best Regards,
Deniz Bostanci

Stayed here while attending conference at St. Anne's College, Oxford, but was accompanied by husband and young child. Room was not spacious but that's understandable given how old the property is. Staff was very helpful though sometimes had to wait behind 1-2 other guests at the very small front desk. But they were terrific in helping us when our baggage was delayed by >1 day. Excellent location allowed me to walk to my conference, and hubby & kid to walk around for Oxford sightseeing. Thought listed breakfast costs were outrageous, so hubby ventured out each day and bought us breakfast at a local bakery. On last day we ate in hotel's restaurant and noted it is possible to order a-la-carte so not paying the 14 pounds per day shown on their website. Lounge area is small but cozy, with crackling fire and Internet access. Just wished it had not been in the path of so much arriving/departing traffic. Parking was a real problem; I picked up a rental car on my departure day and had a very difficult time parking it anywhere near the hotel so I could get our baggage into the car.

Thank you very much for your comments.
I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that our location was perfect for you.
It is true that parking is very difficult in Oxford and we are lucky to be able to provide complimentary parking, although not guaranteed.
Thank you for your comments regarding breakfast. All of our products are locally sourced and delivered daily.
We have a large variety of breakfast options ranging from £4.50. Our full english breakfast is £14.00 that also includes you choice from our breakfast table, fresh juices and hot beverages. I very much look forward to welcoming you back to the Old Parsonage in the near future.

Kind Regards
Deniz Bostanci
