“Everything in one place”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

I met a family member for lunch in Oxford and we popped into the Ashmolean afterwards. Had I known how impressive the improvements were I would have stayed longer but I had to get the train back to Devon. This place has everything with some very useful handouts for further information. I hope to go back again very soon.

“Fascinating place”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

We spent a morning exploring the treasures of this fine museum. Loved the Egyptian rooms and saw the Hunt by Ucello - magical. We had lunch in the rooftop restaurant which was very good - I had the crab and my husband the hake & mussels. If you have a few hours to spare in Oxford, this is the place to spend them. Plus entry is free - amazing in this day and age! Highly recommended.

“An amazing place to visit”
Reviewed 1 March 2014 via mobile

We were lucky enough to arrive on a day when patrons were being given talks about the various artefacts. Our children were invited along. We very privileged to be given a guided tour through the Egyptian, Roman and Greek sections. Absolutely enthralling.
The museum is laid out in a logical way, with large, airy spaces with the objects displayed beautifully.
Highly recommended.

Such an amazing museum, it's brimming with art and history, we particularly liked the part about coins and money.
