“Great way to spend some time”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Apparently the oldest museum in Britain. Plenty to see there. Staff allowed cameras which was a bonus too.

“Cezanne Exhibition”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

It is well worth while pre booking tickets for this fabulous exhibition, as we must have saved at least half an hour if we had had to queue to purchase tickets on the Sunday. Very easy to negotiate the two galleries used.

“A Beautiful Building Is Not Enough”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

This museum tries hard with a very miscellaneous collection of items that don't always make a coherent story. The current Cezanne exhibition is very well presented but the 'Cezanne' element is quite small relative to the whole, not the impression gained from the publicity.

“History museum with Monet exhibit”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

One of the nicest museums I have ever visited. First of all, it's free, except the special Monet exhibit costs, but worth it.
There are amazing treasures to look at that are unique to Britain
