Just for 2.5 GPB you can get an amazing view of almost the whole city - the center and the major buildings of Oxford create an incredible skyline. The theater is important also because of its architectural qualities. Must see.

“Great views”

Enjoyed the wonderful skyline views of Oxford and seeing the theatre where diplomas are awarded. The stairs are a bit of a work-out, so be prepared.

This theatre is not only architecturally beautiful but the acoustics are absolutely great! It is covered as pasrt of a tour, but they also offer great entertainment on weekends.

“Beautiful Building”

A lovely theatre with so much to look at even from the outside, that I'd have loved to see a play inside!

“Oxford students get in free!”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

I'm writing this not from the perspective of a typical tourist... but from the perspective of a current student. As such, I fairly quickly moved through the main theatre (although it is spectacular) and to the top (the cupola). The views are great and I'll definitely suggest to my friends that they go take a free look. But I don't think I'd tell non-Oxford students to bother paying £3.50.

Having said that, it is a fairly rare opportunity to go inside a University building, and see the hall that (every?) Oxford graduate has passed through - so perhaps worthwhile.
