“Christopher Wren's first job”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

The Sheldonian theater was Christopher Wren's first job. He copied the architectural style but the building still has his touches. It is where all the congregations for the graduates still take place. An amazing building.

“Interesting but uncomfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

We were in Oxford for our sons' graduation. The ceremony took place in the theatre. Sitting on the very hard seating for 90 minutes, we were glad to leave. Great day in a hisitorical building. Worth a visit but be aware of the seating

“Stay Outside”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

I love the building, it's Grade I Listed, fab looking, but take a photograph and move on - seating on the terraces is dreadfully uncomfortable and, after a two hour recital, set off my sciatica for days, woe is me...

“Glorious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

This is a superb place for concerts - we heard Beethoven's Ninth, with the choir standing outside the main 'foyer' - and the acoustics are simply great.
If you come to look, be sure to look up!

“Great views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Our first visit to this theatre. Good price for entry, interesting interiors. The views from the cupola are well worth seeing. Enclosed which would be a bonus on a dull day.
