The hotel offers free parking, is about 15 minutes walk from the Centre of town, the rooms are clean albeit small and the hotel staff are really helpful.
We paid for a double room, only to find that there were two single beds pushed together with a double mattress topped placed over the top. The beds parted durning the night and had to be pushed back together several times, not a great night sleep at all

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel has parking facilities and is a good 25 minute walk from Oxford City Centre, but if you take the park/river route it is a pleasant walk.

Good selection of local shops, restaurants and a pub (which serves really good fresh food) in Summertown.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room decor is contemporary and although on the small side it was exceptionally clean. We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel, overlooking the Banbury road, so was quite noisy due to traffic.

The breakfast quality and choice was very good.

As my usual hotel chain couldn't accommodate me I took a chance on this hotel I found through a web site. It was easy to find and had an acceptable selection of places to eat close by (though the main street of Summertown was a little disappointing in its selection considering its obviously affluent catchment area). The hotel seems to be nearing the end of a major refurbishment and is in very good order although, like many smaller, independent hotels, it seems that no one actually considers how a guest will lie in bed and operate the lights. For example a lot of money had been spent on a new false ceiling with modern spotlights but the bedside lighting was odd to say the least. The bathroom radiator was dangerously hot but the management were quick to respond to the problem. Car parking arrangements were very good. This was a welcoming and comfortable place to stay and I would certainly return. Somebody is making a real effort here. Thank you.

Excellent staff, very friendly especially upon booking in. A Really good hotel, clean quirky rooms, excellent breakfast. I wish I'd found it years ago and will certainly use it again when I stay in Oxford.

We have stayed at the Galaxie in Summertown on numerous occasions over the years and spent another two nights there over the weekend. The hotel has been modernised recently and we had a lovely large room at the back. Car parking arrangements are excellent and there is a convenient bus stop close by to get into the city centre easily although it is only about a 20 minute walk. Summertown also has a number of shops and eating places. Breakfast is good and the staff are very polite and helpful. We will return.

The decor was very modern & clean . However on arrival there was a discrepancy about payment . & having booked a double room were disappointed to find we had what was obviously a twin . Beds had been pushed together , not great at 3 in the morning when one of you fall down the gap! We also only had one side table . The towels were on the sml side & only 2 provided for 2 people. Tea & coffee was at a basic level , we ran out of milk after 2 cups of coffee, would have been nice to have hot chocolate . Breakfast was nice although we found the room on our own
Would we stay again & recommend this establishment ? I'm afraid not , other better B&Bs available .
