What a gorgeous building, feels very airy and light and the displays are so well thought out and interesting for the young and the young at heart. Each pillar is made from a different stone, loved the way the skeletons were displayed in size order.
Great British freebie!

Went here on a rainy day. Lots to see from very old rocks to dinosaurs. Worth a few hours visit.

Pitt Rivers museum is very "traditional" collection of someone's things!

We visited this free museum today... Outstanding! The building itself is stunning architecture... There is something for everyone of all ages and it is easy to spend a few hours here. We really liked the dinosaurs, fossils, precious rocks, totem pole, guns, swords and much more! A fabulous place that is well worth a visit.

Everything from AK-47 rifles, to prehistoric dinosaurs, all under one roof. Like a lot of museums in the UK, there is no admission charge, and a donation is voluntary.
