Perfect walk to the hotel from a gate at the back of the hotel-approx. 5 minutes walk. Lovely to do in the glorious sunshine.
Hotel was clean, modern and, as we had a room 'Chic' room, it was spacious and had chocolate bars, robes and Clarins toiletries as an extra.
Check in was straightforward and room was ready two hours before.
We had a package with dinner. Food was OK, nothing fantastic but palatable. The same could be said about breakfast.
Housekeeping came in at 7:45am (I have never known this to happen, particularly on a 2 night stay!) a little frustrating. Also, walls are very thin so you can hear a lot going on!
The great thing about this hotel in the location and price. All in all, I would definitely recommend!

Room Tip: Chic rooms are spacious and have extras in

We visit this hotel on a regular basis. We love Oxford and the surrounding area. Having tried a number of hotels we have found this to be excellent. The location is so convenient for the city and yet has a country feel, the gardens are well maintained and it is pleasant to see the horses in the adjoining field. There were even three foals there on our last visit,! The food has always been excellent, the rooms clean and we'll maintained. Really lovely and great value for money. Super breakfasts to start the day.

We have returned from a lovely 2 night midweek break on our way from North Norfolk to Cornwall. This was our third visit in a year! That must say a lot about our satisfaction with this hotel and its staff. We were able to change on arrival to our favourite room ...perfect.
The food was very good and pleasantly served by a fairly young staff. We were also impressed that senior staff remembered us from previous visits , we felt so relaxed. Such an unusual touch with a large and obviously busy hotel.
We look forward to yet more visits to Oxford and this hotel!

We stayed here very recently to attend the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim. Prices were very expensive but much the norm when there is an event on so not surprising. However, NO AIR CON on one of the hottest weekends of the year! No fans available on the first night as we arrived fairly late and they had all gone - the room was stiffling even with the windows open and the complimentary water in the room was bordering on of tea-making temperature. There was no fridge in the room so no way to get a cold drink apart from down at the very expensive bar.

All in all though, we would say the staff are really lovely and helpful and the food is pretty good - just beware of going when the weather is hot! Just a five minute walk to the edge of Oxford City Centre along the riverside and a good base for any event at Blenheim which is only 15 minutes drive. Also the only hotel I have ever stayed in worldwide that has hair tongs in the room!!!!! Breakfast buffet was very good and well set out with loads of choices.

Room Tip: Higher floors seem to have less windows - almost like attic rooms so don't get one of these in h...

I spent two days here in July. The hotel is ideally situated a 10 min river walk from the city centre ideal for exploring the historic buildings of Oxford.
The Hotel is set in lovely grounds our room overlooked the fields at the back where horses grazed.
The room was very clean and modern and comfortable. The bar area had lovely sofas to lounge on and relax we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and sat outside in the courtyard .
We had a lovely three course meal on both evenings and the breakfast i had a good selection setting you up perfectly for the day.
The pool and jacuzzi were a delight after a day of walking around the city!
Will I visit this hotel again ? Absolutely !

I spent a lovely weekend here with three friends in June. The bedrooms in Eastwyke House were super luxurious with an enormous bath and shower and lovely Clarins toiletries. We enjoyed using the good sized pool and all had a manicure in the spa. One of my friends uses a mobility scooter and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.
We had a super meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening and breakfast was a real highlight; it is very unusual to find a buffet breakfast of such a high standard. All of the cooked options were fresh and there was a lot of choice. We will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel.

As soon as you drive up the to the main entrance to the hotel, you realize you've arrived at someplace different to stay. Lovely grounds with different buildings scattered off from the main entrance. We were a group of friends meeting up for the weekend and were given the Eastwyke House as our accommodations. We each had our own room with wonderful old fashion beams and lots of character. My room was gorgeous with the bath centered in the middle of the room....not practical for taking a shower and washing your hair, but lovely to sit and soak and look out the window and the gardens. I was on the 2nd floor which had many scenic views from all three of the windows in my room.
This hotels location is within walking distance of the river, shops, restaurants and the tour buses. I wish we had more time in this area as you could see there was so much to see and do....will definitely be back to the Oxford Spires for a longer stay to explore and enjoy more of this lovely hotel.
