We stayed in this hotel for two nights, the hotel is centrally situated to everywhere the tourist Wants to visit. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, nice bathroom although the shower area was a bit tatty. The breakfast was a basic continental. Many good points to this hotel, only one downside which was the noise from outside from the turf tavern which is to be expected as this is one of the most famous inns in Oxford, as long as you bear this in mind I would give the hotel 9/10

Staying here for a quiet few days in Oxford. Old rooms, struggle to call it a hotel. Noise from the pub nearby was not great, although the hotel was very central. Hired a bike for my stay only to find that the tyres had been punctured with staples.

My wife and I spent three nights here prior to a Cotswold hiking trip. From Heathrow we took the Oxford Airline bus to the High Street stop. It was a short walk to the hotel.

Our room (#16) was very small but adequate. The bathroom was fairly large and modern. We had a nice private garden just outside our ground floor room. There was a very small TV and a tiny refrigerator that was filled with mini-bar stuff. The wi-fi didn't work in the room but was very fast in the lounge off of the breakfast room. My wife found the bed to be too soft but I did fine. The room rate included a buffet breakfast that included ham, salami and cheddar, cereals, fruit, and a bread basket with great fresh croissants. A cooked breakfast was available at extra cost.

Some reviews complain about noise from the adjacent Turf Tavern. Our room was literally adjacent to the pub's outdoor seating area but we didn't find the noise objectionable.

We found the location to be excellent, a short walk to many places of interest.

Without doubt `the worst hotel or should i say homeless persons squat house you could imagine - there should be minus stars for hotels this would be a minus 10.
Dingy room, cheap beds, noisy due to adjoining very loud beer garden, no internet, lights not working, sink blocked, bathroom lock broken, tv remote broken-no tv, not clean - absolutely the worst experience of my life - unbelievably overpriced, pathetic cheap continental breakfast `if you could find a seat!'- you have been warned `ENTER AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!' (nb: written on behalf of my mum and dad)

Enjoyed the old fashioned historic atmosphere. Quirky rooms. Clean and romantic. Very near centre and handy for university visits. Breakfast was continental style, good , though you have to pay extra for full English and porridge.Relaxing bar sitting room for relaxation in the evenings.

We have stayed at the Bath Place Hotel a total of three times, the most recently at the beginning of May 2014. We love the location, the cozy entrance, the truly English charm. It is a great beginning to a UK trip. Parking is available and free, which is rare in the center of Oxford. The hotel is right next to an Oxford treasure, the hidden Turf Tavern, and in the midst of the colleges. Not more than a 5-minute walk to the Sheldonian, the Bodleian, and downtown. Provides a real feel of Oxford. The rooms are cozy and can be roomy, charmingly old. Fresh air can be difficult in some rooms since they've treated the windows to keep out drafts. Breakfast is fine. Wifi is available free in limited areas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without a window overlooking The Turf pub, unless you love pub noises, which we do!

More guest house than hotel. Great location, near Hertford College's Bridge of a Sighs and the Turf Tavern. Close to Bodlean, RadCam, and New College as well.

A rambling place with plenty of charm. But overpriced. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up, heating came on automatically in May, and the window would only stay open if wedged with the Holy Bible.

Complimentary parking is 2/3 of a mile away at Merton College Sports Ground. Don't forget to collect a swipe card to get out again, or you will face a 2 mile walk instead!

Nice place with character, but a bit tired.
