Stayed here for 1 night in the 'cottage'. Generous sized room with good facilities. Could not get a particularly wide range of channels on the TV, but did not detract.

The evening meal was of a high quality and was delicious. Breakfast of champions! Don't go mad on the sausages at breakfast they are really filling. Nearly scored an 'own goal' by having 2 sausages!

Free WiFi.

A real find, 2 - 3miles down winding Oxfordshire country lanes from the main road. Don't lose heart that you have missed it keep on down the lanes!

I suspect that this could be a place that you could have 'private dining' as there seemed to be a number of rooms that would lend themselves to this.

My family and I stayed here in April for two days on a business/ pleasure trip. We stayed in Cottage number 63. The accomodation was very spacious and had great wireless, TV etc. Nice big bathroom and very quiet. Middle Aston House is set in a lovely village and offers a great value B&B type accomodation. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Oxford centre and is great value for the money. Breakfast is a buffet affair with hot and cold food. Be warned it finishes at 9.45 or so. Not for the guest who likes to lie in!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The car park was little bit away from the accomodation so a walk is needed to that and the main house for breakfast. If it's raining you need an umbrella for sure (this is England after all).
Overall I'd definitely recommend staying here for business or leisure, and would stay agin here with no reservation.

Middle Aston House is found half way between Banbury and Oxford, no more then ten minutes off the main A4260. It's as expected, a hotel, a conference centre, a country retreat. We spent a day and evening there at a friend's wedding and the whole place was given over to our event for only £30 bed and breakfast. The place was warm and welcoming, offering a country break to those who seek a quiet experience but without travelling for an eternity to reach it.

The room was in a separate building adjacent to the old manor house and was spotless, comfortable and offered views across the River Cherwell valley - beautiful area. Freeview tv allows you to keep up with the news and the bathroom facilities were as expected. Tea and coffee is also able to be made as one would expect.

The rooms in the main house and bar area were clean and had an air of efficiency. The staff were very polite and made you feel a guest, although the duty manager (who really could do with wearing a jacket to facilitate at an important formal event such as a wedding) was not as warm as his staff and occasionally fell short of the mark without thinking, e.g. opening a door in the room during the wedding service blocking my view of the vows just so he could monitor the progress when there was an open doorway he could have used opposite.opposite! Shouldn't have sit at the back I suppose!

The house sits in its own grounds that have a lake adjacent to the bar area, offering a lovely walk, but the weather was against us and I felt sorry for the chefs bring to cook their pork roast in the wind and rain! Good on them for keeping their sense of humour.

All in all a lovely place, highly recommended as a wedding venue or for corporate events as well as somewhere for a romantic get away. A hidden gem!

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room that looks across towards Upper Heyford so you can enjoy the outstanding...

Most people stayed in Middle Aston House for some sort of training course. I stayed there with my 11 months old son because we couldn't find any reasonably priced accommodation in Oxford in short notice. I didn't have high hopes as it was really cheap (approx £70 for 2 nights including breakfast) but I was extremely surprised how great our stay was! To begin with, the building itself was stunning with beautiful scenery. When I arrived with my son in my arm, the receptionist immediately stood up & offered to hold him while I filled in the forms. They insisted on helping me with my luggage. The room itself was clean and tidy. The bath and shower was great. The only down side is that the room was a bit cold but they had extra blankets in the wardrobe. Breakfast was great & the staff couldn't have been more helpful with my son and was extremely attentive. They said they hardly ever had any babies staying with them. I would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed here whilst on a two day training course at the same venue. My room was in a modern accomodation block a short walk from the main house where meals were served. Nice warm room despite being minus 3 degrees outside. Friendly staff. Comfy bed, but note that it is a standard double if you are especially tall. The ensuite shower/bathroom was fine. The water good and hot but you'd have to allow plenty of time to run a bath if you wanted one as the water pressure is not very high. It was still sufficient to have a decent shower with. I booked via booking.com where the room was discounted 50% from the normal tariff. Good "home-made" food. The evening menu was limited to a few choices but very well cooked. Would stay again without hesitation.

I was on a residential course at Middle Aston House but also am aware they hold weddings etc there. It is also very close to Silverstone and you can also book as a hotel too. They are not open all the while but if you are in the area then definatley worth giving them a call or looking on laterooms.com to see if they are open for public bookings.

The service we received from reception, to the waitresses to the bar staff was excellent. The food just brilliant, really was.

The accommodation is set in buildings around the main house, basic clean and comfortable. There is a walk around the lake to which sits outside the main house.
