We spent a weekend at the Middle Aston House Hotel. It is set in beautiful grounds and is very quiet. The rooms are simple but very nice, clean and comfortable.
We ate in the evening and found the food to be very tasty, particularly the sea bass. Breakfast was a good choice of hot full english and cold pastries and fruit.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, in particular the receptionist and the bar girl.

We were staying there to go to SIlverstone which was a 30 min drive away.

Booked 1 night on a late room deal at 50% of full tariff. Splendid grounds and very quiet situation, Our room was quite small, but adequate in all important aspects - it may have been bottom of range available. Buffet breakfast was good with very attentive staff. Hotel bar was not being patronised by guests during our stay and as a bar in which to relax it offers very little. The operation seems to be focussed on conferences, weddings and business courses and I think would have to generate a lot of business from those sources to be successful, If we had had to pay the full rate for our overnight stay we would have been less than wholly pleased.

Room Tip: Enquire about room size when booking

My mum and I stayed here in August booked through booking.com and paid £50 for a double room inc b/fast.
The service was v.good and professional, the room was very clean & basic but the bed was rather uncomfortable and the sliding bathroom door needed fixing.
We arrived quite late 8pm and so we quickly ordered some food we both had steak which wasnt good at all-not cooked to how we asked and overdone, but too tired and late in the evening to send it back.
Outside was lovely we sat in the garden overlooking the lake and watched the geese flying in to nest for the night.
Breakfast was great a good selection of continental b/fast and a hot buffet also.
All in all for the amount of money we paid I would recommend as a one night stay/business stop-but not for pleasure.

Stayed here as a cheaper way of accessing Oxford for a wedding. Unbelievably beautiful grounds in a quaint village 15 miles north of central Oxford (£30 in a taxi one way). Much cheaper including taxis to and from Oxford than staying in more basic accommodation on a summer weekend in Oxford itself. The rooms were very basic in decor but spotless. Everything worked seamlessly- hot new clean shower/bath, flat screen tv, incredibly comfortable bed and cool rooms at ideal temperature during the hot weather. The hot breakfast and wide cereal selection was really good. This hotel is an excellent fine and perfect for a weekend to access Oxford. The rooms are not really for a romantic weekend however..if the hotel would like some constructive feedback, some nice furnishings/wall hangings would ensure the already comfortable and clean rooms matched up to the stunning grounds and main house. Otherwise a perfect place.

A lovely countryside setting. A training centre in an old country house that has modern blocks of rooms in the grounds. There is also a cottage with rooms in and a few rooms in the main house. The room we were given was of adequate size, tastefully furnished and clean with a decent ensuite bathroom. There was no air conditioning but the windows provided a pleasant breeze without noise because of the remote location. We stayed there for the Formula 1 testing at Silverstone. Unfortunately we wanted to leave at 7:30AM but the cooked breakfast wasn't available till then. Cereals and toast were provided however. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Booked this last minute because my wife and I were travelling back to Nottingham after 2 nights in London so I decided to surprise her with an extra night away. Found this wonderful place and booked it. Already had really good reviews from tripadvisor so I decided to book. My wife fell in love with the place and the fantastic views. You can see why it has lots of wedding receptions there. Would definately go back sometime, the room was very spacious with free wifi and television and very clean. The breakfast the next morning was nicely cooked hot and the staff very attentive to your needs. Can not fault it one bit.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights for the F1 at Silverstone. Arrived late at night and we were promptly given our room keys. The rooms were quite small and reminded me of staying in a small students room on a uni campus. The rooms were very basic and the bathroom small but clean. Our room was right next to a stair case and the walls were paper thin so people arriving late / getting up early disturbed us. The breakfast was a small simple cooked selection with toast, fruit and juices. The food was served in a different room each day, as previously stated on other reviews the rooms are set up for conferences not eating. We ad dinner on the second day, there was very little choice and the food was very poor. Chips that came with a burger must have been cooked in year old oil and what was advertised as rib eye steak came out like cardboard. If the price had been right it would have been a good place to stay, I've stayed in similar accommodation and paid £30 a night, due to the F1 they had gone into exploit mode and were charging £110 per night. The grounds were very nice and with the sunshine made a good place to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening (even though they had to be forced into opening the bar for us as it was closed)
