We stayed at this hotel for a show in Oxford. The rooms are great value and very comfortable, clean and with all the facilities you would expect of a decent hotel. Staff were efficient and friendly. The restaurant served very good food at a price you would expect to pay (i.e. not cheap but not expensive either). The only criticism i have is there was fairly long waits before being attended to in the restaurant which suggests they were understaffed, but the service was very good when you did get looked after. it costs only £8 by taxi to get into central Oxford and there's lots of nice pubs bars etc in Oxford. I would recommend this hotel especially for the price.

Out of town location. Cab cost us 12 each way. Located close to a large Tesco, M&s, sports direct.

Room was cold - we had to ask for heater. Staff helpful. Was put in part of hotel not joined to main building which was a pain

My company has a an office in Oxford and the Premier INN is a five minute walk. Some of my colleagues like to stay at the more boutique inns in Oxford but I think PI is great. If you are from the U.S. it is very much like a Hampton Inn (big rooms, clean and comfy beds, nice TV, nice bathroom). The breakfast is good.

The only downside to the Oxford PI is that is that it isn't walking distance to the tourist area, but it is about an 8 pound cab ride away.

For me it is a consistent, clean, friendly place to stay.

Our first impressions of this hotel were not great and the weekend got worse. We stayed here for 2 nights 9th-11th May and we will never be going back. We chose this Premier Inn over Travelodge as we thought it would be a more comfortable stay, how wrong were we. Upon arriving at our room we discovered the heating/air conditioning system did not work. We had a little convector heater plugged in. On our way out to visit a relative in a local hospital we told reception the air con was not working and they explained they hadn't been trained on how to use the new system so it hadn't been switched on for the hotel yet. We asked for a fan and it was awaiting us in the room when we arrived back later that evening.
Our main issue with this hotel was the noise from the room above us. Whenever they walked around, our room shook and the light fitting even rattled. We could hear the TV from the people above us and even hear them coughing. It felt like we were sharing our room with them. The noise continued passed midnight keeping us awake and to make things worse we were woke up through the night with our room shaking as they walked around. The next day we mentioned our awful night to the reception staff who didn't seem to understand our issue. They said they would get the night staff to do an extra walk around at night, clearly not understanding it was the loudness of the people above us walking around. We asked to move rooms but she explained the hotel was full that evening so we could not be moved.
The second evening was just as bad, so we googled how we complain to Premier Inn. This is how we found out about their good night sleep guarantee. When checking out the next morning we explained the issues we had and how unhappy we were with our stay at Premier Inn. The receptionist apologised but that was all. We had to ask about a refund under their good nights sleep policy. We stood in reception for ages while she tried to sort out the refund, we could not wait to get out of there. In the car we realised she only refunded us the one night but we didn't want to go back in and complain as we had spent far too much of our time in that place and wanted to get on the road for our long drive back up north.
My partner and I have stayed in many hotels, including budget chains and never had such an awful hotel experience. We shall never be going back to this Premier Inn, well unless we want a sleepless night feeling like we're sharing a room with the people upstairs

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

This is the usual Premier Inn Standard. The receptionist was friendly on arrival, room as expected from many of my Premier Inn stays. Clean & comfortable. Great for an overnight stop over! Has a small retail park over the roundabout.
