“Less well known college, beautiful main quod”
Reviewed 12 March 2013

Lovely gardens with Norman church (library) and crypt: the only college with a cemetery in its grounds. Lovely main quod, beautiful old dining room. Peaceful grounds. Avoid the rear of the college, where the 1960s addition is an architectural crime. Unlike some, they do not charge tourists to enter. Worth a visit: remember this is Oxford´s oldest college (by foundation)

“A hidden Gem”
Reviewed 25 September 2012

We visited St Edmund Hall during Open Doors 2012 as a possible venue for our wedding. It really is a hidden gem as someone else pointed out. It's not a big as other Colleges but boasts a beautiful quad, converted library and gardens. If you get the chance visit the hall which is tiny but well worth a look. As great as the big Colleges are, this is somewhere you can really get away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford in the summer!

“a gem - don't miss”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

One of the smallest but so pretty. Go through to the grounds round the library - tranquil time out in a busy city.

“Quiet but beautiful College”
Reviewed 12 June 2011

We sought out St Teddy's ahead of other, more famous Oxford Colleges because of family connections to the place but we were glad we did.

It is quiet, nestled just off the High Street, with a beautiful green quad a old buildings to rival any scene from 'Inspector Morse'. We were quite alone, but for dons and the odd student - my camera the only one in sight!

Well worth a trip off the beaten track to see, this is a taste of the real University of Oxford.
