Attended the 8 week course, sampling around 50 different wines in total. Each session was informative, relaxed and hugely enjoyable, with the opportunity to discover, compare, contrast and learn about the different styles and tastes of each. It has changed my approach to drinking and buying wine, and all the better for doing so. Highly recommended.

Hi Phil

It was great having you on the course and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, it is much appreciated. And delighted that it has changed your approach both to drinking and buying wine! Do come and see us another evening if you have time - we have just put up another date for the Spanish Wine & Tapas tasting (next week's tasting having sold out) and we also offer Artisan Cheese & Wine and, on 1st June, a special tasting on English Wines.

Best wishes and thanks again
Nick

I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting an insight into wines with a basic or high-level knowledge of wine. The teacher is great, professional and very informative. I really enjoyed that he had thought about his communication, for example, he had maps to detail where the wine is from and contributed a lot of context to round off the drinking (and understanding) of the wine. The wines themselves were a good variety and tasted great too. The location is also fab as the room is really nice at the college.

Hi Ellie

Thank you so much for your review, it is much appreciated. And thank you for pointing out that we give plenty of info to give the wine context, and that the wines tasted great too! Do come and try out some of our Food and Wine pairing evenings, or a Gin Tasting, if you have time, look forward to seeing you again at the college.

Best wishes
Nick

Really enjoyable, fun and informative day - run by Nick who struck the right balance for us beginners. Six whites and six reds and a lovely lunch in between. Thoroughly recommend....

Nick’s 8 week wine tasting course at the Wyastone Hotel is a great tonic for Thursday evenings in the winter (or any time of year!). Lots of useful information, interesting wines and a friendly atmosphere. The sessions are two hours long, well paced and allow time for discussion, questions and exchange of information. I like the variety of wines, the aroma tests, and tasting cheese with the wine.

This was my second visit to an event organised by the school. Both evenings were unpretentious and most enjoyable. Good value on each occasion, the wines were interesting, reasonably priced and matched well with the food provided. I strongly recommend.

Dear Graham

Delighted you enjoyed both food and wine evenings, and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. Unpretentious is what we are all about...there is still far too much up-itself nonsense tagged to the world of wine which continues to put people off.

Best wishes
Nick
