Description: The Dew Drop Inn is located one and a half miles north of Oxford City Centre in Summertown, quite central to the shops. This listed building dating back to the mid 1800's is a traditional looking pub with original features - such as the windows - and one part of it used to be a local school. From the outside it is deceptive as it looks small, yet it is a bit of a Tardis when you get inside, as it stretches right back. The pub offers a high quality, yet casual, comfortable dining experience, within a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We cater for everyone and have a good range of clientele from old ladies on their own to shoppers, locals and students. Food is served from a main menu with the Sunday roast being very popular. This is a two bar operation so we also show Sport on side of the pub and special events in the main bar. We have strong connections with Inspector Morse, with the writer Colin Dexter being a regular here and the Dew Drop is mentioned in most of his books. Tuesday night is Quiz Night at the Dew Drop - £1 to each to enter and the winning team (up to 6 people) gets the takings! Come and visit us soon!

“Charming little place”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Had a quiet drink here on an early Summer's evening before dinner down the road.

Beer garden at the back and nice spacious seating area inside.

“If you want fish and chips...GO HERE!”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

I don't like fish but as a study abroad I was determined to try fish and chips. Let me tell you, the fish and chips at the Dew Drop Inn were so good. They did not taste fishy and it was a large portion.

In addition, the Dew Drop Inn, which isn't actually an inn, is surprisingly large inside. There was not loud music so chatting was easy. The crowd consisted of locals on the older side but as a college aged student, I would easily go back.

Their menu was pretty diverse and they even had jacked potatoes (baked potatoes with various toppings).

“Good pub out of town centre”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

Cozy pub with casual atmosphere. Food is well prepared and served generously. Dew Drop Inn is a pub, don't expect hotel standard food or service. It is simple, hearty and represents good value.

“Really good fresh food”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

Just happen to find this pub during a two night stay at the Galaxie Hotel.

The Dew Drop is approximately a 3 minute walk up the road from the Hotel and what a little gem. The food was really good, I had Chicken & Chorizo Papperdelle and my hubby had a Gourmet Burger. Both dishes were made from fresh quality produce and very tasty.

The service was very good and staff very friendly; the food and drinks are excellent value for money, needless to say the pub was very busy and the atmosphere warm and inviting .
