“Glorious!”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

This is easily the most beautiful little B&B we have ever stayed in. A beautiful property, absolutely lovely hosts, a heavenly room (think White Company meets Georgian period glory) with every little tiny detail thought of (prosecco on arrival, fresh milk for the morning, roll top bath, bath robes, treats box, beautiful linen, high speed wifi - the list goes on) and a delicious breakfast the next morning (Gianduja chocolate spread, Italian style scrambled eggs with parmesan and cream to name but a few of the yummy options). I would not be able to find one fault with it. These guys really know what they are doing. Highly recommended!

I often say I'm going to write a review but rarely do I feel inspired enough about somewhere to actually get on and do it. Well, the Glove House is the exception. It's a truly beautiful B&B where the hosts Caroline and Francesco have thought of all the little touches and couldn't be more helpful (even calling me before arrival to check whether we wanted somewhere booking for dinner). The decor of the rooms is lovely (If it would have fitted, some of the furniture might have ended up in my suitcase!). The prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and the strapazzato eggs (Italian scrambled eggs) were delicious. There's some comments about it being on a main road - it's actually on a quaint village street (although the road is busy), our room was at the front (Charlbury Suite) but there is secondary glazing and we really weren't disturbed by any undue road noise. The suite is massive and very nice! Highly recommended.

From the impeccable attention to detail in the design of the rooms and the tasteful decor and furnishings to the quality of service from Caroline and Francesco, who are the most charming and welcoming of hosts, everything about the Glove House is flawless.
Have to say this is one of the best places we have stayed in.
Highly recommended.

I can't find fault with The Glove House. Welcoming hosts, really comfortable room and great choice of breakfast. As others have said, it's on a road that gets busy at peak times but the bedroom we had was at the back (as I think they all probably are) and we didn't hear the traffic at all. There's no car park attached to the house but there is a free public car park immediately to the rear, within easy walking distance.

Before we arrived I made a couple of requests relating to allergies. These were met with grace and efficiency.

We recommend this place. It's like staying with family.

We stayed in the Bladon Room for one night in early March. We were warmly greeted by Caroline, who helped us with our bags and made us feel very welcome, even providing us with wine and nibbles and offering to iron a shirt for my husband for his meeting the next day. The room is luxoruius and beautifully decorated with a very spacious bathroom and good shower. Although the house is on a busy main road our room was at the back of the house with quaint roof top views and very quiet. We both slept well. Breakfast the next morning was extremely good and Francesco's Italian scrabbled eggs were delicious. This is a very high quality B&B, where we would stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. We ate at the Kings Arms Hotel, which was also very nice, with excellent desserts.

Yes the location is excellent- the bus to Oxford literally stops outside the property and Blenheim Palace minutes away
Rooms are very comfortable, particularly the bed and the day bed in the suite, my daughter was delighted that for once she had a "proper" bed..
The host was very warm and welcoming.
But the breakfast was outstanding - home made Bircher muesli, delicious croissants, excellent cooked breakfast - have had much worse in 5 star hotels!
Only regret the weather meant we could not enjoy this delicious breakfast in the garden.
Enjoy !!!

We stayed at the Glove House for our 'babymoon' and came home feeling refreshed, relaxed and truly spoilt. It has the perfect mix of comfort and style with no detail missed. Francesco was a wonderfully warm and welcoming host and his delicious breakfast, served in the sunny garden, is up there with the best. Very highly recommended.
