If you rent a 300 year old house, you need to understand that the floors will probably be uneven. And they were, but there were also loose boards. The stairs are steep and there isn't a hand rail. The street in front of the house is very busy with even large trucks, all day and into the night. The noise level from the road was high and interrupted sleep, especially for the young children. However, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen has a very nice gas stove, and it is close to everything in the town. Woodstock is a lovely town with many restaurants. The Blenheim Palace is a beautiful place to visit and take walks in the gardens and grounds. There is a great museum in the town. You can easily walk to the bus to Oxford. Oh and there are two bathrooms, but only one with a standup shower. So there were five of us who needed to shower in one bathroom.
