“Family friendly pub and good food”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

My husband and I accidentally visited Woodstock Arms four years ago while touring Blenheim Palace. We both had pies then and they were so good that when we came back year later for a longer stay this pub became our "favourite" even though we lived in Oxford. We've eaten here many times and every time we have had plenty of good food, staff is very friendly and kids are also welcome. Extra points I would give them having a real fire in fireplace meaning that even during wintertime you are warm and cosy while dining.

“Not good value or service”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

Visited here with the family whilst staying nearby. The pub, although welcoming, was certainly rough around the edges and wasn't what I expected in such a pretty village. The food was barely average pub grub but at restaurant prices - £13 for a chewy duck breast atop of a plate of macaroni in a over salty ? Packet cheese sauce ( macaroni duck) and almost £11 for steak pie and frozen chips. Now I don't mind paying for decent food, but I felt everything was overpriced for the quality and the service was unbelievably slow- although, to be fair to our waiter, he did apologise for this and was very pleasant all in all.

“Wonderful food”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

Visited many times and always received a warm welcome. Staff are really friendly whether you are on your own or in company. On this occasion arrived in time for lunch.- and what a choice there was! Had the ham, chicken and leek pie which was really delicious. Food was well presented and there was plenty of it.

“TERRIBLE FOOD”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

The pub is very dark and dim with horrible different color lights, the seats and carpet are in terrible condition and the food just dose not make it any better!!!! The lunch itself was worse than average and found it unbelievable they do not provide horseradish sauce as a condiment for traditional English roast beef!! This was very disappointing & spoilt the meal. I would not recommend.
