Food and ale ok, its a pub. Ok garden, nice for a rest but nothing to shout about, merely advise. I wouldn't go out of my way here again.

We have been going to the Bull for a while, since it re-opened, mostly for evening meals...It is a lovely pub, in idyllic setting, and serves a very good interesting menu...not too gut stuffing, excellent choice, friendly atmosphere. so it's a lovely place to go for supper..about mid price for around here.
But the latest way we are regularly using The Bull, and highly recommend people trying, is go along at lunchtime and have the excellent sandwiches! Absolutely delicious and we think GREAT value! These are served on hunks of delicious, soft fresh bread, and with some seriously good chunky fries (which I tend to give most of to my other half!) plus salad...things like crayfish, and smoked chicken bacon and avocado, smoked salmon and cream cheese...just yummy, and EXCELLENT VALUE at 6 or 7 pounds each...so on Sunday lunchtime, we walked there, had lunch and a drink each for about £15 between us! Unlikely you'd be disappointed with the food here either going a la carte, or lunch, or bar nibbles, but these sandwich meals are really particularly good value and yum...perfect for a wander down to the pub and have a bite at lunchtime!

Having moored our boat at Sonning 5 of us went to The Bull for lunch. The menu was excellent and although we had only planned on having a light lunch we were all tempted to eat more than we really needed to. Our food was so delicious that we seriously discussed staying moored where we were for the rest of the day so that we could go back to the Bull for our evening meal. Unfortunately due to time constraints we couldn't do this but I would love to return one day for another meal.
