Description: JAMIE’S ITALIAN Jamie’s Italian is a contemporary and informal restaurant with a menu that reflects Jamie Oliver’s passion for authentic Italian cooking, delivered with his own unique twist on classic recipes. Beautiful rustic dishes are created using carefully sourced, higher-welfare ingredients for the best flavour, but still at great value. This is a relaxed, affordable and accessible environment where the style, atmosphere and menu can be easily adapted to suit any occasion. KNOWN FOR Child friendly; great value, quick lunch; special occasions; group bookings, party planning.

4 of us are well travelled, eat well and enjoy a long tasty lunch. Our friends had been here before and said the meals were good. To test the nachos taster was a mistake; poor pasta, very small portions of avocado and salsa...poor. However the mushrooms baked on a thin pastry crust was excellent. A squid and a salad were ok but very small portions.
A special of Hake and a pork shoulder were both good but the 2 pasta dishes (carbonara and rabbit) were poorly presented and the pasta undercooked even though we both enjoy al dente. Shame as the dishes were well seasoned and tasty.
Overall we were all surprised at the portion control for the price.....not cheap. Especially the rabbit pasta where there was probably about £1 worth of food in the sauce!

On this basis Jamie your school meals are very much better value for money.

As for the 33cl bottles of beer at £4 + a bottle???

Atmosphere and service were fine so if they could think a little more about the client and less about portion size then Value would be so much better.

Good point was that the waiter was VERY knowledgeable about the dishes and what would be best for one guest who had particular dietary needs.

As a themed restaurant you get what is on the tin, but not the man himself. Tend to book or go early lunch early evening avoiding the rush and the noise of families. The beads were vey nice a little bit expensive. The platter starters are very nice, mains we all had something different and enjoyed them. Not somewhere I would go regularly.

Great service, seated despite being the only one of my party to arrive. Had time to peruse the menu and was getting hungry. When we had all ordered and the meals arrived I felt like the prices did not reflect what we were presented with. The chicken dish and burger you had to buy the extras like fries/chips instead of it being a full meal and the risotto was boring and gone within a few minutes. In all I left hungry still and had to raid my fridge.
