Very pleasant hotel with very good facilities. Comfortable with modern amenities and a very decent room size. Ah yes, the room! Who on earth designs/constructs a hotel that incorporates rooms that overlook the busiest, noisiest place in the hotel - the bar area!? Yes, I had a room that overlooked the internal bar 'courtyard' area. What an entirely weird concept. Of course, it was just my luck that the hotel was hosting a large delegate of 'corporates' who 'gaffawed' the night away with their pretentious claptrap and cocktails until half past midnight! Not their fault of course, that's what a bar area is for; but would you really build a hotel with rooms that are subject to that monotonous din all night? - bizarre!

Other than that it was lovely. I would return but on the insistence that I had a less 'exposed' room.

Room Tip: Ask to avoid a room that overlooks the 'Atrium' bar area!

Not sure how long the Hotel has been in existence but it looks completely new inside. Stayed for one night with my partner. Staff are notably polite and helpful. Chap on reception with a smart beard (can't remember his name?!) booked us in, very friendly and well mannered, gave a great first impression.
The room was large with one side fully glass. Light and airy. Also worth noting, this place is CLEAN. I mean, eat your dinner off of the floor clean. Comfortable bed, nice toiletries, nice little touches.
Would recommend.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms are nice, view is surprisingly pleasant considering the location

Stayed at the hotel for a weekend on the cilantro package which is a hidden gem for £99 including a room and a 7 course meal for 2.

The hotel is just off the m4 and close to reading for shopping or the train to London for the theatre.

However the show stopper is the Cilantro restaurant with its 7 course meal. What a luxurious treat.

Canapés
Amuse Bouche
Then a starter of cheese soufflé to die for with an apple sorbet a real take on cheese and apple.
Then fish course which was amazing with turbot
Risotto came next with home made raisen and saltanas delightful
Then beef as a main which was melt in the mouth
Pre desert of sherry and ice ice cream
Then main desert of black current and ice cream
Then coffee and petit fours.

A superb meal and we enjoyed it so much we did it on both the Friday and the Saturday.

Stephen the maitre de in cilantro is the best we have ever come across including many high class London restaurants and is a hidden talent.

Well worth a visit

Stayed here for a conference, which in itself was very well facilitated by the hotel. Hotel facilities were great, room massive and everything spotless. Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
