“Good basic hotel”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

We and friends stayed here for two nights before the Rewind Festival in Henley, as it was the closest to the venue at the time of booking. We shouldn't have worried as the taxi in the small hours from the festival to the hotel was only £25 and that with the cost of the hotel made it a very reasonable weekend.

Even with the fun fair in sight we still couldn't hear it. Although the same couldn't be said for the guests in the next room who came back even later than we did.

Rooms were clean and the staff were more than helpful.

Room Tip: Have breakfast in the Toby as it's cheaper than the hotel

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of August and found the hotel to be clean, quiet and comfortable. We both slept well. The rooms are well equipped in the typical Premier Inn style. The ensuite bathroom was well designed and clean but just had a shower rather than bath and shower, however this caused us no difficulties. The only small problem we had was that we couldn't open our window, however, this problem was sorted out immediately we mentioned it at the reception desk. There is plenty of free parking outside and it is next door to a Toby Carvery where reasonably priced meals are available or you can just get a drink from the bar. We would consider staying at this hotel again if we were in Reading.

Premier Inn ... I always find them very clean with lovely staff on reception who are very friendly. Our room would have been fine for a couple but for the 4 of us it was tiny, room 317, there was not even room to put our ONE suitcase on the floor!!!We were literally climbing over the bed to get around it. Also it was described as a family room, but no bath for our young boys only a shower. We were woken up on the Thursday morning at 5.50am but a really loud dumper truck emptying the bins of the Toby carvery next door... don't know how often that happens didn't hear it on the Friday morning.

Perfectly clean, and extremely welcoming. Fabulous breakfast - all you can eat is the best ever option! Room was very clean - and good TV. Room was very hot though temp of 24 degrees at night. A fan was provided in the room but did very little. Apart from this - I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here two years ago as we have friends that live locally. We stayed 3rd Aug and got there at 12 and managed to check in early as our room was available. Room was clean, staff helpful and a great nights sleep nothing to complain about good value for money.

Stayed her on the 21/7, we had 3 top floor south facing rooms with no air conditioning and windows that only opened an inch, the temp in the room was 29.5c. It was like walking into a sauna, that smelt! Tried to get a move to their other property as travelling with a very elderly relative for a funeral, was told that we would lose money and would have to pay again BUT if we had a bad nights sleep could get a full refund! Eventually given 3 fans which moved hot air around. One of our party spent the night on wet towels in shower , I spent part of it outside in car park. The very unsympathetic and unhelpful night receptionist who when asked for jug of water said no drink tap water spent it in an air conditioned reception. The only saving grace and reason it didn't get all terrible was the breakfast and the waiter in the morning who could teach them all about customer service. Would not recommend this hotel as not only was it a horrific experience but the customer service was woefully lacking, try the Crown Plaza next door lovely view and air conditioning.
