We have visited Toscana on many occasions since it first opened. During the early days they did have issues with service, however we stuck with the restaurant and can only speak from our experiences. we have visited as a couple and also as a party of 8 people. The restaurant has been full and also quiet but on both occasions we were treated extremely well. Our meals arrived on time and were also well cooked. I personally have had the pizza which was thin based and crispy with a vegetable topping. Excellent. The al forno dishes are also excellent. The sauce is home made and full of flavour. My husband who was not an italian food lover has even tried the pasta annatra and said how delicious it was. If a restaurant can convert my husband to food which he has previously not liked then I think that speaks for the quality of food served.
Barbara as head of house runs the restaurant very efficiently and has her finger on the pulse at all times. The rest of the staff are polite and cannot do enough to make your meal a pleasant experience. On one visit there was a family with young children and the family commented on how child friendly the restaurant was.
We will go back as it is a pleasure to have such a good place to eat on our doorstep. I hope more people from the local area support this restaurant. It is well worth a try!
