I went to Toscana for lunch after my shopping in the nearby supermarket.
The place has really been thought after, with it's lovely warm colours and overall settings, you feel like in Italy!
The food was nice too, good value for money (I had the warm goats cheese salad), and the waitress was welcoming, pleasant and looking well after us.
There is a hidden secret about this place: its terrace! Unfortunately it was too cold to seat outside but I'm looking forward to coming back when the sun is out and enjoying an al fresco lunch or dinner.

We have visited Toscana on many occasions since it first opened. During the early days they did have issues with service, however we stuck with the restaurant and can only speak from our experiences. we have visited as a couple and also as a party of 8 people. The restaurant has been full and also quiet but on both occasions we were treated extremely well. Our meals arrived on time and were also well cooked. I personally have had the pizza which was thin based and crispy with a vegetable topping. Excellent. The al forno dishes are also excellent. The sauce is home made and full of flavour. My husband who was not an italian food lover has even tried the pasta annatra and said how delicious it was. If a restaurant can convert my husband to food which he has previously not liked then I think that speaks for the quality of food served.
Barbara as head of house runs the restaurant very efficiently and has her finger on the pulse at all times. The rest of the staff are polite and cannot do enough to make your meal a pleasant experience. On one visit there was a family with young children and the family commented on how child friendly the restaurant was.
We will go back as it is a pleasure to have such a good place to eat on our doorstep. I hope more people from the local area support this restaurant. It is well worth a try!

Went here for a Mother's Day lunch. Staff are really friendly and eager to please, and the food (which comes in very generous portions) is delicious. It seems to be a pretty family friendly place, they also have a garden for sunny days too, definitely a great little place to have nearby.

Yesterday was the third time we have used this restaurant for the third time it was awful. We were enticed by the Thursday Grill Night. The waitress advised us that the starter - a sort of meze would be devoid of roasted aubergine. No big deal, although we could have been offered a replacement dish. We ordered the mixed grill for the main and when it arrived there was chicken wings, overcooked lamb cutlets and a butterfly chicken thigh. No ribs! We queried this with the waitress who said there were no ribs (they were supposed to be part of the menu)! The white wine was served at room temperature, the food overall was greasy and bland and the dessert was equally as disappointing.

We were the only diners in the restaurant, so despite the pleasant surroundings, there was a lack of atmosphere. Having given it 3 chances, we wont be returning.
