We stayed one night as it was near to a business appointment for me.On entering it looks quite grand and the public area's appeared well decorated, but what a dissappoinment when we entered the room it was like something from a 1960's B&B.
The wardrobes consisted of a few shelves and poles and a curtain to pull across, the rest of the furniture was shabby, the bed was of a good size and comfortable but the woollen blanket on it must be pre-war. TV was old. Bathroom was large with a decent shower.
On returning to the hotel at 8pm, we wanted some milk and ice but no members of staff were on duty to ask only an emergency telephone number. The bar was closed.
Breakfast was adequate but a little greasy,we felt that it had been cooked eairlier and kept warm as it arrived on the table fairly quickly.
It is described on the hotel sign as an Executive Hotel, this it is certainly not.
